In case you were on the fence, I think you should definitely keep J
Happy birthday!![]()

Seems it looks and reads incredibly.
So we always have ramen in the house as part of our emergency provisions. Not good ramen, college food ramen. Some of it is pushing it's 'use by date' so I've been working with it a lot the last couple days.
The pic is chicken ramen, with left over chicken tenders, sprinkled with green onion and drizzled with honey mustard.
I did similar the other day (and really wish I'd thought to snap a pic) with beef. Beef ramen, thin sliced left over steak, sprinled with parsley and drizzled with horseradish.
Then last night I used beef ramen as a base for beef stroganoff. It was fantastic!
Two part question: what's the consensus on sous-vide cooking, and has anyone used home-level sous-vide equipment?
Fantastic, and yes.
Do it![]()
I thought that was Eeyore's latest name.Anyone here eat Borage ? picked up some seeds today trying to figure out the best way to eat it
Hi Harry, how's it going?hello stranger
beer, liquor or bullets?
I've had steak prepared by sous-vide and it was excellent. What kinds of foods have you done this way?
(I still miss Iris, particularly in this thread!)
(I still miss Iris, particularly in this thread!)
I think about Iris often.
I think I'm not out of bounds if I say she's happy and healthy, just busy with life and that lead to her falling out of the habit of coming here. Maybe she'll return one day.
Her cooking is as excellent IRL as it is when she describes it here.
I'm gonna make something with cabbage and apples today, because I need to use up some. J said he'd like to have sausage with it, so I guess that's what we're having.

Because how can you say no to any of his whims after that fabulous meal?![]()
