Whatcha eating/cooking?

Did up a London Broil the other day. Cross-hatch scored the surface then marinated it in balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, ketchup, pepper/garlic/onion/thyme/rosemary//paprika for a couple of hours before grilling until it was just pink inside and nicely marked outside.

Out.
Fucking.
Standing.

This is the recipe

Thick slicked some potatoes and grilled them at the same time after coating with olive oil and some spices. A side of corn with diced red bell peppers on the plate made it complete.

I can't find what the hell I want in the stores, so many things are sold out. It's mad frustrating. Like irritating as fyck.

Thankfully enough for chili.

I am making pea soup using a modified joy of cooking recipe.

Had one of those presliced hams last weekend...the ones that come in the silver plastic foil bags.

Good fartin’ tonite!

Leftover beef stew and a green salad. Good basic hearty food - and it's very agreeable to me right now.

This is one of my favs. 'ready in 5 mins. meals for the weight-conscious':

Vegetables & cheese wrap
I found some thinner pita breads, lebanese I think.
Stuff them with plenty of vegetables (spring onions, sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, radishes, onions or whatever you want) and cheddar cheese.
Put it on the grill for a few minutes till the cheese melts and... yumm

As a variation, omelette with ++ vegetables and cheese.

What's yours, sweetie? :)

Omaha Steaks styrofoam cooler just appeared at front door, so some beef tenderloin, pork chops, and steak burgers will be devoured in the coming days and weeks. Going to try a sweet and sour glaze on the pork. First time for Omaha.

Glaze will be honey, balsamic, garlic, scallion, fresh rosemary, butter.

Braised lamb shank tacos will be for lunch, today.

Pork tenderloin and a kale salad for dinner.

Black Peas. (had 'em about 8 years ago,) found the rest of the paclet under the stairs yesterday so put the survivors in to soak over night.

I have not heard great things about Omaha steaks. Likely they are good, but not great. Please consider reporting on the quality of the meat. Thx.

Will do. They had a great promotion on a package. $185 value for an even hunnert.

Its really pricey. But, compared to the quality of the meat you can get at the grocery store, it's much better. They have some interesting desserts too. Nothing exotic, but you can microwave it for an after dinner snack.

Everything is frozen vacuum packed and rush shipped on ice to your door. The styrofoam cooler it comes in is a PITA to get rid of though.

Here we also have Schwann's who will deliver fresh to your doorstep next day if not sooner, sans styrofoam cooler.

I love to cook and often find it a great way to relieve stress. It's like art that you eat. :)

I'm curious... since we are all quarantined and dining out is very limited, what is your favorite meal you cook at home? Drop your recipes! :)

We are ordering out from grubhub. :)

I hope you’re right about the meat quality. I’ll know more tomorrow night. I threw the cooler in the recycling bin, didn’t seem so hard to me.

Tonight I'm smoking some pork loins that were marinated in barbeque sauce.

Styrofoam isn't recyclable.

Get the meat out of the packaging and let it thaw and come to room temp before cooking.
