What would your mother say?

My mom isn't perfect, but she wasn't a monster. She was dealing with her own life too, besides raising me and my siblings.

I don't think about what my mother would think. I have to deal with what *I* think. My conscience is pretty active, and I wasn't even raised Catholic! Go figure.

By the time someone is 18, Mamma should have already done her job by instilling morals and standards into the young, impressionable brains. If she didn't succeed in making her child a kind, considerate adult who would never be deliberately mean, that child isn't gonna find any guidance in wondering what she would think.

nope my parents suck right now my dad is trying to get full custody of my daughter and my mother says im overreacting that no judge will give a manipulative rich asshole my daughter!! He wouldnt help me out when I asked for it but now he wants her!! why because he knows it will make me go nutz he wants me put away!! Knew that since I was 12 when he tried to tell child services I was a compulsive liar when I called and reported to them how he dislocated my shoulder!

Hmmmmm.... there must be SOME people here who had normal, happy childhoods! Aren't there?

I did, but if you think I am going to apply the WWMMS standard to anything I post here, you are nuts!

HOWEVER you can't tell me Cheyenne, that mom would approve of the now famous right nipple pic. Yet we love it!

He he. No, I suppose she wouldn't approve of that profile pic, would she? (And thanks, by the way.) BUT- the original question was about using the WWMMS standard to measure how well you treat others. Not necessarily to judge your personal behavior, or what you write at Lit.

Anyway, I had a specific snake in mind when I started this thread and he seems to have slithered off under a rock, so everyone else- back to normal, please! My mom won't be visiting us anytime soon....

That would be me.. Other than being poor and having only one parent who had to work two jobs I had a wonderful childhood. My mother and I have a great relationship.

Does my mother think I walk on water though? Not at all. She happens to know most of my flaws better than I do. At this point I'm trying to get her permission to go drinking with some friends on New Year's Eve..

That all said, sadly, I can't think of anything I've done in the last few years that I wouldn't mind my mother seeing.

Hey, Cheyenne, where have you been? I missed you.

Clearing the air....

Okay, Cheyenne, I applaud your idea, but it just won't work. People that feel that way are already acting that way, as you so graciously pointed out to RNitelite.

People who don't feel that way act however they want to, albeit they may actually WANT to be respectable, productive members of society.

I'll be the first to tell you that I give less than a FUCK what my mother says or thinks. She can think I'm Satan's own offspring or think I can walk on water. Either way, I don't care what she thinks and I doubt I hear from her anyway.

And besides, anyone can walk on water if it's cold enough.
