If...

-You submit a thread to a story that is still alive (I checked before starting to write, and it had been updated 5 days before)
-After two weeks without response, you send an e-mail to the moderator (through Chyoo contact form) asking if he is still monitoring his story
-Get no response from the moderator. However, one week later the story is updated again, but your thread is overlooked
-Send another e-mail to the moderator, asking what's going on, but get no response once again

Just curious... What would be the proper thing to do?

The story isn't abandonned... In fact, last time it was updated was November 9th 2002...

My thread was successfully submitted (at least, it is on my "My Threads" list)

No responses to e-mail inquiries...

Thread was neither approved nor rejected...

Thanks for your advices!

Forget it

I would forget it and move on. There are too many good stories out there to worry about a situation like the one that you are describing. I have had a similar thing happen to me, and I finally decided that there were plenty of other good stories to work on and haven't worried about it since.

You might try resubmitting it on the off chance it did not take the first time.

This also gets back to the issue of being able to delete rejected and pending threads so you don't have to look at them any more.

Thanks.

:D

I'll probably just "update" the thread (read: resubmit) then move on... Still, this is boggling my mind. If he/she doesn't want it, just reject the thread.

Forget that! T'was rejected at long last!

(not that I am more happy, but at least I can stop wondering :p )
