What would you do if you could know the day, time and manner of your death but would be unable to change it?
Depends on how far away it was. If I still had 50 years, I would continue on like I already do and be glad I could say my good-byes as the end approached.
If I had 50 months, I would try to travel and read and do as many things I love as I could...no more work or anything I don't absolutely love to do. LOTS of sex1
If I had 50 days, I would be sure my kids were as taken care of as possible, write them letters for special times in their lives, etc. while trying to embrace every single fucking second of life I could. I probably would sleep as little as possible.
If I had 50 minutes, I would go for pure pleasure, whether that would be amazing sex, amazing food, amazing laughter, or my amazing kids.
If I had 50 seconds, I would try to send a message to my loved ones. "Tell them I ....." lol
WWYDI you had a friend who owned a restaurant and you found out s/he cut corners by doing inappropriate and possibly squeamish but probably not dangerous things to cut corners? (letting food stay in rotation a couple of days past when it should, using cheap cuts of meat while claiming better, etc...)

I would first confront said friend and explain the risks involved with some of the practices, if this friend declined to fix the problem or let me help fix it, I would have no choice but to contact the public health department with my findings.
Friendships do not out weigh the lives and/or well being of others.

I would talk to him privately to find out his motivations and what is happening and if he's okay. Then I would try to be sure he understands the consequences of what he is doing. After that, I would probably stay out of it unless there are compelling circumstances that made me feel I had to intervene for some reason. Most examples I can think of, it would be none of my business
