Sweet dreams!

1978 - Hmmm ... Just 18, studying hard before going up to Uni, playing in a band and dreaming of being a rock god! - experimenting with certain things - left home for the fist time - It's a kind of weird Garden of Eden memory now, a distant but fond memory, pre-marriage, children, mortgage, responsibilities, divorce .... ah well!:)

In '78 I was 9, still at primary school, playing soccer with my friends till it was too dark to see the ball and just begining to get into music in a big way.

Wow it seems so long ago now.

In 1978, I was probably busy playing with my Strawberry Shortcake dolls, my Barbies, and my brothers Army tanks- I was 4. :)

In '78 I had one more year in Highschool, and at the end of that year I started dating my husband. I was 17.

mammories....errr...memories

in 1978 i had been married for a year and had been working at the steel mill for a year. i had also bought my first house that year as well.

In 1978 I began working for my current employer. Moved from Tennessee to Virginia.

1978

In '78 I was building my 1st house, received my certification in my chosen field, and bought my 1st[still got it] Jaguar. It was a 1968 xke, and the love affair started. b2l

I sure as hell hope that that was one good job!

I can't count the jobs I've had. Even started and sold my own company at one point to finance my current occupation. I am not sure if I admire that kind of dedication or if it is the kind of life I would not wish on my enemies! :) ;) ;)

I turned 21 living at home during the day took care of my grandmother and at night partied and was having sex with aan 15 year old but stopped when i found out she was really 13.

I was 6 going on 7, living in Nigeria. I believe I was teargassed that year. We moved back to the States shortly after that.

I know what you mean. It seems like no one wants a career anymore. Most people are just mercenaries who move for the big bucks. I happened to enjoy this company and have moved quickly up the corporate ladder. They made me an offer I couldn't refuse so I stayed. Thanks for the comment

Hey, it is a dog's life! ;)

I was always too busy taking a sniff of everything. At least you moved up. Most of my Uncles and such from the old days took those jobs on the line and stayed there for 20 years retiring broken and prematurely old.

I turned 20 that year and was working part time and in college full time. I don't remember 1978 as being a very eventful year- 1979 when I graduated from college has a lot more memories for me.

In 1978

I had been married one year and was 25 years old. Two years out of college and worked as outside sales for a large steel company. :D

1978

I was teaching and loving what I was doing which was helping them cope with the real world.

I was six and probably making life rough for my older sisters and their dates. ;)

In 1978, I was 22, packed my car and my 20 month old son and moved to Houston to be with a man....

Impulsive?? Oh yes!!

Lust? Oh yes!!

Would I do it today? In a heart beat!!!

If you are going to live... you might as well take some chances a long the way...

Oh and the man?? That lasted 10 years...

I was 10 years old, in fifth grade and was just beginning to realize that boys weren't really all that yucky.

Took a trip with 7 people in a 1966 pontiac lemans when we ran out of money and the car broke down we all call moms for money and went home had a lot of fun sleeping in the car three of us slept in the trunk.
