What was this thread about?....oh yeah ADHD...support group? 😅

Dammit, I can’t find a single pharmacy that has Adderall in stock! 🤬 This is really starting to become a problem. I sent off a note to my MH provider to see if they could get me some, or prescribe something else. I would have thought that with COVID no longer the issue it was, that supply chain issues would resolve, but I guess not!
I am having the SAME FUCKING PROBLEM. And I just found a pharmacy but I can’t get in touch with my fucken doctor to call in the prescription there

That’s so annoying!! I’m a Lahey patient and they provide an app so you can send in requests electronically. It works like a charm!

Yup. I feel your pain…Literally! When I’m off them, I start catching my shoulders on every doorframe!

I just found this out recently on TikTok of all places! It was a “strange symptoms of ADHD” post. I yelled at my phone “That’s ME!!!” when I saw that!
Jesus. I better get this shit straightened out or I’ll be black n blue by Friday

Perhaps. It sucks because some of us literally cannot function and haven’t since childhood, others see a tik tok and it’s like I wonder…. Obviously there are many factors that go into a legitimate late diagnosis but fml.
I wish I had been diagnosed as a kid, but no one even knew about ADHD back then…I didn’t get a formal diagnosis until I was almost 50!

Exactly. Fml. What else is there to say?

Like I said, many many factors go into a legitimate late diagnosis. X

I don't think people getting late diagnosis in life is the issue. If they are getting diagnosed then it's a valid one. No member of a professional board will risk their license to hand out illegitimate diagnosis.

Right! I had to sit with a licensed psychologist and take a battery of tests to get the diagnosis. It wasn’t my PCP handing out prescriptions.

Obviously I haven’t explained myself very well. Apologies
No worries. It just read like you were saying the reason there is a shortage is because people are getting diagnosed late in life. And they are because they watched a tiktok and now they think they have adhd.

I'm sure there is some overlap but not the only reason for why there is a shortage.
