Marriage?.....Got engaged
Children?....watched my son through many milestones
Found Love or maybe lost it?.......Engagement cancelled!
Love was the biggest thing in my life this year. But being in love and making plans for the future doesn't always mean it's going to happen. I learned a lot from the experience and I am ready to move on. I have become a stronger person for having had the experience.

The times when I just didn't know if I had the strength to go on with it, then pulling something more from deep within me to make it work because I knew it was right.
Secon, would have to be my seperation from my husband. That has actually made me a stronger person as well. I am now living on my own for the first time in ages. Truth be told, before this, I'd only lived on my own for about 9 months.
Third would be watching my children grow into good people and seeing how bright they are. I love the fact that my 5 year old daughter can spell a last name that most adults have to ask for help with. 9 letters to memorize isn't always the easiest.
And lastly, I would have to say acceptance of myself. Also, tying in with the first item, is acceptance by Draco, of both my physical flaws and shortcomings and my various emotional upheavals at the oddest times.
Those all have had a profound affect on me. I like to thik they made me a better person, if for no other reason than I like to improve myself.![]()

Ahhh...turning 35 will do that... I turned 38 in Sept. and it knocked me on my ass. Most of the time it is those 5 yr numbers. 30, 35, 40..but for me it was 38. So I joined Lit two days before my birthday. I am still trying to figure out if that is significant or not

Counting by tens is depressing, I look in the mirror and wonder how did I get so old? I don't feel it, I don't look it (so I've been told), but the reality is unescapable.![]()
