What turns you OFF?

Here on Lit we've got discussions about what turns us on pretty much covered. But what turns you off?

I suppose I should start.

WTMO: closed-mindedness, intolerance, cruelty, clinginess, indifference. Oh, and really bad, consistently untreated body odor.

I'm interested in your answers.

things that turn me of physically/emotionally:
arrogance
stupidity
redneck-ness (i can create a word, can't i?)
fervently religious nut-jobs
passive agressiveness

things that turn my off physically:
nether stubble (i just can't tolerate stubble on a woman's body)
greasy hair
dry elbows/knees

Poor hygiene

Poor hygiene of any type is a real turn off - dirty hands, yukky teeth, bad breath, body odor, dirty hair...I think you've got the idea.

amen. i can't stand indecision... and/or someone trying to read my mind and make a decision in what they think is my best interest.

although, in all fairness, there are plenty of men who do this too.

mispronunciation. this one particularly bothers me. someone was saying the word seraglio the other day and i had to point out that the g is silent.

I'm guilty of doing this, but it's because several years into my first marriage I discovered that stupid little issues like where to eat became fodder for resentment when my ex really didn't want to eat there but wouldn't say so. I'm still a bit gun-shy in that respect.

You certainly can. I prefer redneckitude myself. Unfortunately, it's abundantly abundant where I live. AND it's a huge turnoff!

Lots of things but mostly stupidity. Also, in writing, very bad spelling. Actually even the overuse of things like "lol" or "u" instead of "you" - and whatever would equal that in speaking.

As for really sexual turnoffs, during sex, when someone for dirty talk uses lines that sound like memorized from cheap porn.

physical turn-offs:

I detest having my ears licked, nibbled, touched, etc.

bad breath
body odor (from lack of bathing, not natural sweat or after working out)

dirty fingernails, unkempt nails.

From EJ: excessive indecision bugs me too. Just decide already! It's one thing to be cooperative and flexible and another to not have a spine.

From Den: arrogance is one of the biggest turn offs for me too. Humility is very sexy and arrogance is its opposite.

Poor hygiene, people who are always showing off and are conceited, cruelty towards animals, people who smoke or do drugs, ignorance, rudeness, bad grammar, and most of all, people who don't like books/reading.

Interestingly, I seem to find arrogance a turn on. I wish I wouldn't, it causes problems at times... but oh well, there are people who manage just the right mixture of arrogance and humility, I wish there were more of those...

Rudeness
Ignorance
Akwardness
Stupidity
Someone who tries too hard (hand in hand with akwardness, excessive sweet talking, etc.)

Physically:

Bad hygeine
Overly hairy (face and body)
Skrawnyness (incredibly shallow, but I don't like feeling like I'm going to break my man in half)
Bad Teeth

Socks are not really a turn off, but quite silly...

Turn offs

Weakness is a huge turn off. If I can scent blood, cull him/her from the herd and move on. Survival of the fittest.

Stupidity and lack of manners usually turns me off like nothing else.

Arrogance, cruelty and such can be turn offs too if they are not used in right context.

But physical ones...

Generally looking unclean is really a turn off.

Poorly treated face and hands - dry skin flaking off and dirt under fingernails (and you would amazed how many basically good looking guy never uses any moisture creams or wash hands properly...)

Untreated facial hair - beard can be really ok or even make a guy look like a man but it needs to look like it gets cut, shaped and such regularly.

With girls: barbie look, playing helpless little girl to get men do something, inability to hit with a fist
