I was trying to post to the Site News and Tech Support forum instead of the "Lit Tech Support" sub forum.
*********
I went to post something in the Tech Support forum and didn't see the "Post Thread" button. At the bottom of the list of threads was this message, in the right hand corner.

"You have insufficient privileges to post threads here."

Has anyone else seen this? Any idea what this is about? I've posted there frequently.

You have the right tech forum? One is reserved for authorized staff, the other is for users.

I think. I so rarely tread outside of AH.

The Tech Forum seems to have tighter privileges, but I don't think it's consistent. Sometimes you can post a reply, sometimes you can't, but I've never bothered figuring it out.

Your post did get onto the Lit Tech Support subforum. It's the one called "Is This A Bug or a Feature?"

I'm beginning to think that his battle against AI is a losing rear-guard action. Someday the world will be a version of Blade Runner where there will be no way to be sure what is human and what is technology. It probably will be just as disharmonious as the world we are in today.

There are other threads besides Author's Hangout. My goodness, gracious, why would anyone waste their time on other threads? I did post in the Editor's Forum once or twice. Why, you ask? I don't know.
Story Ideas can be amusing if you want to examine concepts that may never get done. Somehow it's weirdly imaginative yet repetitive at the same time. As an example: how many different kinds of female relatives can one impregnate? Sisters, mothers (very popular!), daughters, aunts, cousins, nieces, grandmothers. Actually, I'm not sure that I've seen that last one yet.

I moved it there after I realized I had mis-posted.

I'll check it out; that'll give me another place to waste more time.

I've actually grabbed a few ideas from there. An E&V, an I/T, and a mature, but there are a lot of... Yeah, nah.

I almost did that once, and I had outlined it. In the end. it didn't work out and I went on to other things.
