The volunteer editor’s program really needs to get a revamp.
I can’t even describe how atrocious it is now. Between editors never contacting you back after you send a request. To sending them your story only to never hear from them again after they already have had your story for over a month!
I understand it’s a volunteer effort but if it’s just about useless to use then why even have it.
Or find some way to cut down on the people that are wasting our time. Maybe have a way we can score an editor like our stories get score. Or put a star next to an editor that is favorable.
Maybe even add a way for the editors to be able to delete their names from the list if they can’t take on anymore work or find it too overwhelming to do anymore.
All I know is I’m at the point now where I doubt I’ll be posting anything new. I use to enjoy this but now not so much.
Maybe I should just submit my stuff and put in a statement to the readers if they want a better quality of work to voice their own frustrations since I know I did try and get an editor. If they are really bothered by typos or mistakes they can always send me there email address and I’ll let them take a crack at it. Can’t be any worse than what’s in place now!
