Who's the editor?

I've been hanging out on these forums for a couple of years now, and I've only just noticed that this is the Editor's Forum.

Not editors', like the Authors' Hangout. Editor-singular-possessive.

Is that why nobody can ever find an editor, because there's only one? And who is it?

(And yes, I know what it says about my own editing skills that it's taken me until now to notice.)

Perhaps all editors are simply tapping into the deific mono-consciousness of The Editor. But they prefer to drop the article in the title and so everyone in the know simply calls them Editor.
