i've just realized i have paul young's wherever i lay my hat stuck in my head. it's always hard to get a song out when it gets stuck there, i find, unless i basically sing it to myself. apparently, my brain works like a CD/MP3 player's shuffle play feature.

so what do you have stuck right now?

:>

I've seen the needle and the damage done
A little part of it in everyone
But every junkie's like a setting sun

Tom Jones' She's a Lady
Whoa, I'd jump off a bridge! :D

On the other hand I've had 'The Only Living Boy in New York' stuck in my head for about a week - and I'm really sick of it!

Karen Carpenter

On the day that you were born, the angels got together and decided to make a dream come true...

The kids were watching a Laurie Berkner DVD in the car this evening. Now I have "Victor Vito" in my head.

How embarrassing.

Played the cd just before lunch, now I can't get Dreamboat Annie out of my mind. I just love these words from that song:

Going down the city sidewalk alone in the crowd
No one knows the lonely one whose head's in the clouds
Sad faces painted over with those magazine smiles
Heading out to somewhere won't be back for a while

I have an album of theirs (on vinyl, no less) from when I was in college. I don't listen to it often enough.

Don't be embarrassed! When my kids were little, it was The Elephant Show with Sharon, Lois and Bram. The number of times I've heard Skinnamarinkydinkydink Skinnamarinkydoo must surely number in the millions.

And I tried to find the song so you all could hear it, but my search was unsuccessful. I could sing it for you if you like.

Oh, and Eilan, at least it's not Barney. :D

Edited to add, I found it!

O Holy Night by Pavarotti and
Trans-Siberian Orchestra - The Lost Christmas Eve - Wizards In Winter.
They seem to be taking turns, lol. My room-mate keeps playing them on his computer and they're driving me nuts.
