I have my old Schwinn 3-spd racer from 1965. It'd not rideable and it's too small for anyone in the family if it was.I can’t bring myself to give my daughter’s bike away.

Yet, when I was commercial fishing and we needed this or that, the cannery dump was the first place we looked.Ain't it the truth. I was raised by people who lived on an island that got a ship to it with mail and supplies once a month (and less in during winter). You never know what you or your neighbor will need tomorrow. I remember taking a snowmachine to the dump once, but it was just parts, stripped of every nut, bolt and screw I could get off it. Nothing useful went to the dump.
I just gave several bags of clothes to a thrift store for that very reason. 60 lb weight loss and I held onto clothes in case I gained it back.Clothes that are too big on me now that are over ten years old. I have to stop convincing myself that I might need them one day.
Congratulations on the weight loss and keeping it off! Since 2020 I've lost 70 lb and am finally okay with parting with a few things. It's a weird mental hang up.I just gave several bags of clothes to a thrift store for that very reason. 60 lb weight loss and I held onto clothes in case I gained it back.
Congrats to you as well.Congratulations on the weight loss and keeping it off! Since 2020 I've lost 70 lb and am finally okay with parting with a few things. It's a weird mental hang up.
I’ve ended up moving every few years, and I find that makes me incredibly choosy about what I decide to keep. If I don’t use it, it’s gone. When we moved to Tennessee I emptied my pole barn of two 30 yard dumpsters of stuff I thought I couldn't live without. I had a driveway sale and probably sold another 30 yard dumpster's worth of stuff And I gave away several pick up truck and trailer loads of other stuff.
We are contemplating another move so another culling will occur before we move again.
I've lost 80 pounds since I retired and all along the way I disposed of clothes too big for me because I was sure I was never going to be that heavy again. The only exception has been t-shirts because everyone needs t-shirts for the dirty jobs around the house and why wreck a new one when these old ones will do.Clothes that are too big on me now that are over ten years old. I have to stop convincing myself that I might need them one day.
Well my wife is telling me this will be our last move. I call Bull Shit because moving here was supposed to be our last move. I love my wife and that is the only reason I am agreeing to this move. I will thin the herd again because to be honest there is boxes and tubs we haven't even unpacked yet after 3 years here. So why lug it around?I’ve ended up moving every few years, and I find that makes me incredibly choosy about what I decide to keep. If I don’t use it, it’s gone.
I always hope that every move is the last move, but life is tricky and full of surprises.Well my wife is telling me this will be our last move. I am 65 years old and I just don't want to move anymore. I'm tired of starting over. We have good friends here, a beautiful home with 6 very natural acres. But again, I love my wife and we have made a few deals about the new place so I am sure it will be okay in the end.I always hope that every move is the last move, but life is tricky and full of surprises.
I'm the opposite way round. Found a skirt I had in my twenties and unless I wear it as a turban I've fucked it.I just gave several bags of clothes to a thrift store for that very reason. 60 lb weight loss and I held onto clothes in case I gained it back.
Make a scrunchie out of it.I'm the opposite way round. Found a skirt I had in my twenties and unless I wear it as a turban I've fucked it.
The same. I have clothing for every occasion, in different sizes.I'm very sentimental. And my wardrobe you'd think 5 women lived here with the sizes...oh I'll slim back into that.
Like fuck I will.![]()
All of the needs to go to your county recycling. Usually free drop off. Don't put any of that stuff in the garbage.Batteries, TV's, old phones, oil from my truck, tires, old computers, bleach, 1/2 cans of paint...all in the trash bro.
Stew
So stuff your biographer will appreciate!Lots of old Christmas and birthday cards. Ticket stubs from concerts. Thousands of books. My old school exercise books! Tons of photos. Christmas decs I've not put up for 15 years.
I have a huge bag of mum's stuff I brought back from the care home. I will cull that for sure but I can't face doing it yet for some reason.
Old cat collars and toys from cats long gone. Concert programs. My school reports. Old make up and nail varnish I do need to cull.
Everything is tidied away though in boxes or cases.
