My skin. It really, really pisses me off. It's been pissing me off ever since that unfortunate cleanser incident that turned my face pink and flaky.
I can't seem to get it back to normal anymore. Ok, it's winter and in winter my skin is normally very dry anyways, but this year it's been to the extreme. Now my skin is either pink, tight and dry, or it breaks out because the stuff I use to make the dryness go away is so damn heavy.
I don't even want to leave the house anymore because I look and feel gross. Maybe it's not so bad to be a shut-in. I have the internet.

I just spent 3 1/2 days quietly by myself. I like my alone time. I tend to watch too much TV, though.
But as far as letting dry skin keep you home bound, fuck em. You have nothing to alogize for. Give the 'this is me'.
I guess ad I get older I give less of a fuck about some things.

When a certain someone is right. It just strokes his already swollen ego. I have no issue with being wrong. I admit it openly. I say my sorry if needed. The thought of havibg to hear about it for the next century is what pisses me off.

I feel your pain with dry skin. When I was 15 or 16 or so I took Roaccutane pills for acne (Basically a pharmacological broad nuclear strike) and it made my skin so dry it pretty much fell off like a mask.
Ok maybe a bit of exaggeration there.
They also made me temporarily allergic to cotton and unable to taste anything for a few weeks.

I'm a quark thief.
Well it's not really keeping me homebound per se, at least not any more than the rainy weather. But it does make me feel very self conscious and that's not a nice feeling at all.
I have a friend who is a dermatologist and I've been doing pretty much what she's told me (although she never saw my skin) and it worked really well for a while. Then I went to Paris and after that all hell broke loose. I'm trying something new now.
Oh yeah, Roaccutane. A friend of mine took it around the same age you did and her skin literally did flake off. She ended up sleeping with some kind of an oil mask on. Maybe I'll try that too if all else fails.
