People in power abusing that position. Specifically the corrupt police man who robbed me of money I could ill afford to loose because I am a visitor to his country driving a car with foreign plates. His English may not have been good but good enough to extract money using fear.

Happy Tuesday
Got a call about no hot water in one of my buildings. Walked down the stairs, noticed the lights were out and I could smell it, like burnt tires. Listened for a minute, heard a specific type of coughing. Sick of this shit, I have elderly people and kids living here. Dropped my tool bag, pulled out my hammer, opened my knife, walked over and kicked the door open into him. Saw his feet. He slammed the door shut and I heard wood dragging on the ground. He had something. Called my boss and had him send the cops. Yelled that the asshole had about 5 minutes before they got here and stood at the entrance to the laundry room looking around the corner. He came out about 3 minutes later. Wasn't holding anything. I stepped around the corner and said either do something or get the fuck out. He looked at me and bolted. Cops caught him a couple buildings down.
God, I love this town.

Three weeks and you only noticed the paper work isn't right two days before it's due!?! Grrrr, I hate having to rearrange my whole life and world because to few are doing to many jobs. Mistakes happen more often in these instances. Damn bureaucrats! Downsizing is not always worth the outcome.

Serbia. Driving a. Ar with Czech plates ( my car, U.K. Passport and Czech driving license) I'm here helping the puppy while she deals with the legal side of loosing her parent.
It turns out I made an illegal turn due to the sign prohibiting it having gone missing.
Corruption is rife it just cost me less in cz. Anyway I'm over it and sipping beer safe in the knowledge we travel back in two days and I won't need to drive here again until we leave

You fret too much, it's not like I'm dying (I think). When worrying is appropriate I'll add a little addendum. E.g;
"Hi everybody, I just crashed my car into the back of an animal storage unit and I've been impaled through the chest by the leg of a live horse. Hoping the operation to remove it goes well!"

Did you not read farawyn? We are ALL dying! You are just helping it happen faster and not enjoying culinary delights, an important aspect of sensuality.

If you are really eating poorly you might be a good candidate for a daily vitamin, but eating well is a much nicer way to do it.

Why, thank you Con! It's st Nicholas of Bari banishing a storm. It's a painting in the Ashmolean which when I am in Oxford I like to visit, there are a few in there I think of as friends I must drop by to see when I can.

Was shopping, was hungry, had had a long day at work, had filled an entire shopping cart, parked the cart to find some more to put in it, and had hardly left it, before I noticed a weird lady heading straight for it.
Then she started to bloody fiddle with my* groceries!
