What pissed you off today? Mark II

CUTIEMOUSE? You are an idiot! Thought so for 9 years.

I got almost every job I applied for. I'm retired. Bring two boxes of donuts and get your interview late morning. When they wanna know what I got to offer I say, I make the trains run on time and know how to make workplace violence a beautiful thing. Most employers simply want drinking buddies....youll get the job till the board fires everyone.

I wish I could help. Feelings can be the worst. :rose:

Not when you can no longer breathe!... I'm assuming, of course.

Docs ask me all the time if I'm having any numbness or tingling... I keep waiting for the one to ask me if I'm FEELING any numbness, but it seems even the nurses have "grammar Nazis" correcting them in training.

I've been saving a bunch of my posts on my word-processor program, & realized last ones I made in many topics had same date, but at 12-something. Day has continued, & now all my posts are at 9-something... Election is not the only way this country & probably several others fails to make progress.

The smattering of chemical burns on the back of my left hand that keep reminding me they're there every time I open and close it.

:rose: Thank you. Things seem better in the light of day.

It is all about perspective.

You think? I don't; I'm quite unsentimental in that manner. When you can no longer breathe and your heart stops pumping I think nothing can hurt anymore, there is no 'worst', no 'best'.

Cardiac arrests are one of the most, if not the most, painful things a person will ever experience.

That's why it's important to count our blessings now, even on the bad days, because they are comparatively few, and each one can have something of value, even if it's a phyrric victory that's better some days than nothing, if it's really all we can dig out of the day. But even on days of tradgedy, sometimes the sunset is beautiful, or the starlight bright.

Perhaps it is important to you to count them... However, for every time I get to see my sibling's awesome kids, I also have to see my pain-in-the rear sibling who thinks they matter more than the rest of us (even when we've not even been home from hospital for 2 days yet).

Today, went to well-known eatery for Lunch with parent. I've long wanted to get haircut & am short on funds, so parent offered to pay. Mid-meal, felt sick, so went to get take-home bag, & ended up in-between 2 stoners having conversation. Get home, check Website, call "Customer Care" number, recount story, & rep checks with me, "So person working at ___ was high?" I corrected them, & they finally get it right, only to tell me someone else will call me back when they get a chance.

My backseat driver says 'Are you sure you can get into that space? Wouldn't you be better over there?' every time I park the car somewhere. Every time. Every single bloody time...

I could reply that I've never put so much as a scratch on any car I've ever had, even though I drive a ridiculous number of miles each year and I'm perfectly capable of judging if I can get into a parking space or not. And also that it's not me who has hit other vehicles on 4 different occasions, and it's not me who is driving around with a busted wing mirror and a dent in the bumper. Maybe if this person took their own advice, their own car would be in better condition.

I have thanked them previously for their input, but asked them not to give it any more as it is not necessary and is actually really annoying. Have they taken the hint? No. Absolutely not.

So if you read about a woman arrested for beating her passenger over the head with whatever vegetable she can grab out of her shopping (and when interviewed, the mangled passenger complains that they were 'only trying to help'), the chances are it will be yours truly.

You need to get that ejector sear fitted. :D

They should come as standard  How I haven't parted him from his breath before now is a miracle...

When they die, they stop breathing, but I've never known anyone (that I recall) being parted from their breath.

As for me, I keep coming up with more words & phrases (often from watching TV, be it scripted or reality) that should be used not at all or at least not in one-to-all of the ways they are. Not sure if I am more upset by that, or the fact I have problems recalling examples later (right now, for instance).

Just amuse yourself by imagining the look on his face in the tiny fraction of a second between the charge firing and him being catapulted out of the car. That is, if you've bothered to fit the detachable roof as well as the ejector seat. :D

Hitting the pool in time for the listed time of the water workout, only to find that its actual start was 20 minutes after I'd finished my hour, got out, showered, and was almost dry.

No, I don't actually do the workout, but the music makes my hour less difficult to get through (headphones aren't allowed at that pool).
