What pissed you off today? Mark II

Not today, but this week. Monday, YK had a caregivers' seminar scheduled all day so I decided to drive to the casino and cash in some chips I'd accidentally brought home. Got to the cashier window and felt like I was going to pass out. Had to text YK that I needed her to come get me; there was no way I could drive 20+ miles home without risking the life of everyone else on the road. She had to blow off the seminar and come get me; we stopped at the local clinic, almost two hours after I started losing it. My BP was 80/52 even then, after some oatmeal, toast and water. By the time we got to the hospital 4 hours after that, BP was still 92/70, pulse in the mid- to high-40s.

ICU pumped 4+ liters of 0.9% saline into me into the evening and got me up to reasonable numbers overnight, but they're going to be playing with my four BP meds again, trying to get it stabilized. The good thing is, I could still get my regularly-scheduled chemo yesterday, which was very questionable Monday afternoon.

At the risk of sounding trite or patronizing (I am neither) you are amazing. Worst day of my life, and you have managed to put this shit into perspective for me. I wish, for both of us, I wasn't thanking you for that, but I am :rose:

Hang in there, SW. :rose:

Sorry, girl! :(

It must be something in the Texas water....

:: blush :: I couldn't do this if it weren't for YK. She's working a full-time, intense work week around my appointments and ER runs, and still staying (mostly ;)) sane.

Hang in there, SW. :rose:
I'm workin' on it :)

Fucking fail-tastic OB clinic. Can't even spare 20 seconds to look at my damn chart (its all electronic) for chronic issues. Of course a 31 year old woman shouldn't be having a rough pregnancy unless she's having pre- or full out eclampsia. Nah, the fibromyalgia that's clearly noted in my chronic issues section couldn't play a part of that. Pain management couldn't possibly be an issue. Springing tests without warning is great damn idea.

Of course, if I saw the same provider more than once in a row it might help but that's not doable either.

This is sooo different than my experience with my first kid at a facility that is now too far away to make practical. I think the glaring difference makes it worse sometimes, like having a shiny new car next to a POS that you know isn't going to make it thirty miles without issues.

One month to go, then I'm done and as soon as I have my back to work clearance I'm not dealing with those fucktards ever again.

Paragraph one: :rose::rose::rose:

Paragraph two: My sympathies to you both for your loss, and to you especially for the unwanted quiet in the house.

Thank you for both. We knew his grandfather was on the downward side and he got to spend time with him at the beginning of the month, have that last conversation and share love and closure.

One of my best friends is visiting this weekend, we're going to see a movie I've been looking forward to tomorrow, and I'm not alone. Plus the cats and dogs keep the house from getting too quiet most of the time.

Hope they can get your BP meds balanced back out. Hubby's on a couple of them himself with blood thinners for a heart condition and I know what an ordeal it can be if even one needs adjusting.

Damn it all to hell.

Walked the dog last night, in flip flops (should have known better), and kicked a patch of uneven concrete. I'm pretty sure my big toe is fractured. After limping home I iced it and took some NSAIDs.

This is will curtail my cardio for a bit, which will impact my mood.

What is the penchant I've developed for damaging myself? Sooo frustrating. Maybe I can rest if for a couple of days, tape it, and still dance....

Now, I don't particularly mind when someone tries to pull a clever stunt. I can actually admire a certain level of devious thinking and intelligent lying.

But when someone tries to fool you, but can't even be bothered to put a reasonable amount of effort into covering their tracks, well that's just plain insulting, isn't it?

Either that or they are just that stupid.
Usually makes me scratch my head too.

FABRICATED, selective memory. How the hell does anyone even do that shit? Perhaps it is plain old insanity...

Part of my toe is bruised black and blue. I'm also in an unfortunate part of my cycle; meaning if I don't get some adequate cardio soon I'll be doing someone an injury.

Taping that sucker and heading to the gym.

I think the male dentist at the office we go to is a bit sadistic. ( ; ; )

The last visit I had before today went well. My dentist (a female) did a great job and there was hardly any pain. I was up and running around right away.

Today, for whatever reason, the male dentist administered the numbing agent. It hurt like hell and he said, "I'm going to stop a moment so it doesn't hurt too much."

I call bullshit. That made it way worse than just simply getting it over with. That and he decided he needed to put his entire thumb in my mouth to help work the shot. (ーー;)

After that my regular dentist came in and did everything else. But this time I felt pain before the numbness even wore off. My cheek is swollen where he administered the shots. Bastard.

Adult cyclists riding on the pavement and forcing me, the runner, out into the road with the traffic.

And then getting bitten on the ankle by a dog on a leash with an owner on the other end

Stupid and unnecessary allergy to tomatoes. Rash on my stomach, hive near my bottom lip.

That's quite rude, on both counts.

10 minutes after a company wide email was sent out by mistake (no, not by me) and 50+ Reply All responses have already hit my inbox. Idiots... it's going to be an annoying day.

I went through that hell last year, too. It was a pretty bad mistake actually. Someone was supposed to send an email to all faculty staff, but sent it to all faculty staff and students. When the students realized they shouldn't have gotten the email in the first place, the Reply All hell started and it lasted for days. People really can be stupid sometimes.

At least I knew I wasn't alone in that hell. We were over 8000 people who got that.
