laurel-marie said:I'm married to mine, so lots of pet names are used: Babe, Sweety, and similar things. I do call him Sir or Husband during certain times, though.
curiousjen said:I am always toying with variations on his name (owen)
Currently
Mowen (which came about from me saying my Owen my Owen and then metamorphosing it into mowen)
and, rather strangely, can't even remember how it came into usage
Mofolater. (pronounced mo-fo-lar-ter)
I'm always saying his name over and over again and playing with the sound of it, sort of like a weird verbal tic of mine, and sometimes, the names stick.
Much to his annoyance![]()
Apart from that, the usual darling sweetie blaugh blaugh stuff that I just can't help doing despite my self.

Maybe I should try calling M_Wisdom and Shyguy that on Saturday.
I wonder what would happen![]()
shy slave said:Mofolater?
Where did that come from ?
catalina_francisco said:There is also Amo which is the Spanish word for Master which I tend to use more than the English.

Apart from any of the examples listed, i don't use any other names (aside from referring to Him as 'His given name' or 'my Husband' during conversations with others). Between He and i, in private, He has always been from **day one, and shall always remain quite deservingly, known to me as Master.shy slave said:Apart from Mistress/Master/Sir/Daddy/their actual name
What other names do you use?
i've never ever been given any reason to call Him anything of that nature, through clenched teeth or otherwise ... and even if i were ever to feel i'd have any reason to, won't dare to actually DO so. i have yet to find anything i do not like about Him and have never had a single moment during which i have felt anything negative towards Him. He's a wonderful Man. i am quite blessed to be His.And no, i don't mean the ones said through clenched teeth during a scene, for example 'You bastard!'

curiousjen said:Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Amo! Thats wonderful! We don't really use master/ sir titles because they makes us feel a bit strange and vaguely ridiculous, except when we do, which is rarely (usually in a scene, or when something significant happens.) However, i have been looking around for a "title" that would work as well to convey the respect I have for him and one I could use in public that wouldn't cause my leftie feminist friends to raise their eyebrows!
Amo is perfect!
It just sounds like a variation in his name (which as I was saying earlier I do naturally all the time) so my friends won't bat an eyelid.
Hurrah for this thread!
*skips around in a little circle*
Ahem. Thank you catalina. You have made me very happy.
catalina_francisco said:YW. Only problem I have is I have to be careful I do not use it when we are with his mother...he swears I slipped up once but I do not remember. LOL, despite my only speaking english and she only Spanish we are managing to communicate reasonably well on most things. Seems we are discovering we have much more in common than just our adoration of a certain man.![]()

curiousjen said:Lol! I imagine meeting for the first time and bonding was quite hard if you speak different languages! I was terrified meeting O's mum for the first time (shouldn't have worried) without the language barrier getting in the way.
Spanish is a beautiful language. I studied it at at school briefly, although in no sense am I competent. The other thing about Spanish speakers is that they tend to speak very fast, don't they? We went to Spain for our honeymoon and I did try, but boy can they gabble! I was totally crap![]()
catalina_francisco said:LOL, oh yes, but it is a language I have loved as long as I can remember so intend to get iinto learning it. That way us two ladies will have much more to talk about and do together. She is a very likeable person and loves cooking in our kitchen...figured perhaps she could give me Spanish cooking lessons and we could work on us both learning each other's language at the same time...she is already picking up english words and asking F what to say when she wants to say something to me...and he spoils me by cooking my favourite dishes when she knows we are dropping by. Yum!!

Killishandra said:I've noticed that I have been in the habit of using the term "Handsome." As in, when I jump on the comp for the first time of the day, or I walk into the room and see Him after a little while apart, I will say "Hey, Handsome."
Doesn't take Freud to figure out my reasoning, I guess. The man is gorgeous.![]()
But it's His charisma in person that makes my knees go weak!
(Other than that, usually "Baby". Since we are not counting the Master/Sir type titles.)
Neomagalie said:Since they come easier to me in French its usually : Mon maitre, mon amour, monsieur, mon roi
But also sometimes pastor guy
I really like Amo too for me it would be close to amour though and I ont think I would feel the master connotation.
