What makes you laugh??

I'm new to the boards and I thought that this would be a good way to get to know people. So what makes you laugh,giggle,chortle,snort...you get the idea.

Books can do it for me...like Spider Robinson's Callahan Saloon series or Terry Pratchet's stuff. The Conferderacy of Dunces made me roll. Movies --especially the classic screw-ball comedies. Music-- PDQ Bach.
I can also find laughter in the absurd...those 'things really can't get any worse' moments...and then they do.(What a surprise!)
Laughter in the little things like spending time with my nephew/nieces and just the way kids are so spontaneous.

And I love shared laughter with friends--it's the best.

I really want to know what you have to share.:rose:

Wow!

It has been a long time since I thought about PDQ Bach!

Yes....that makes me laugh.

Slapstick comedy

The giggles of over tired friends or lovers....I love that!

A lot of the posts at lit, quick one-liners, will make me laugh.

My children make me laugh often! Their insight into the universe is absolutely beautiful.

Four yr old: Do you want to go see the real Peter Pan?

Six yr old: Yes.

Four yr old: But i dont' know where he is.

Six yr old: Straight ahead and the second star to the right. Mommmmmmm can we get a space ship?????

I know...silly mom moment...but it was funny. He was serious!

oops!

(Originator of this thread) actually, I'm not 'unregistered'...but obviously I forgot to do something.

thanks for posting.

The Black Adder............Laurel and Hardy............Politicians.........:D

Welcome to the board, Angelika!

My students always make me laugh. They are very cute, and some of them have some quirks that are just hysterical. :)

My daughters can always make me laugh! I find that whenever I am in a bad mood or just need to have my spirits lifted a few hours with them can make everything better. Kids, what would we do without them?

Oh yes!

Staying up way too late...with a bunch of your craziest friends...when you all hit that period of about 20 minutes when EVERYTHING seems utterly hilarious...and then you all fall asleep about 10 mins. after that.

Also, Eddie Izzard needs to be mentioned again....and again.....and again.

I'm SO easily amused it's kinda pathetic.

From books?
The funniest i can remember is Seinfelds book.
And whatsisname?
the Tool Man bloke?
And Paul Reisler?
Fucking hysterical.
But maybe just to me?
