But here's the catch (and it's where I personally hit a brick wall): try to describe things that set you off from other submissives, that differentiate you from most. This is a really excellent idea. It's really got me thinking.

At first, I couldn't think of anything at all, but then a couple of things came to me.

As a sub I am very creative, and YES I did read what you wrote tainted, but bear with me. It's the way I use my creativity that is interesting and I don't know how many others go this far.

For example. I take an interest in what porn he's looking at this week. And pay very close attention to what it is exactly he likes about what he's looking at. I ask a lot of questions and observe very closely. Then I will do two things. I will, of course, act out those fantasies if humanly possible and within my limits. But ach! I guess everyone does that. But also, and this is the bit I'm proud of, I suppose because we both love the arts and try to fill our lives with the artsy fartsy things we adore, I may write him a song, or a erotic story, or even a novella, or a poem, or a hiku, or (try) and take an interesting photo that captures the spirit of what's turning him on. I do it either about what he's into and mostly I write things with him as the star, although sometimes I feature prominatly too. I type them whilst he's out at work and leave them in interesting places around the flat. Or sometimes, I pack them in his bag for an overnight trip so its like I'm their with him, taking care of his needs. Because of this, our fantasy life is really thriving, and our sex is marvoullous because of *ahem* me, i guess, putting my creativity to such good use and putting so much time, and effort and making it such an integral part of our lives. I have worked hard to tell him there is nothing he should be afraid to tell me, and have tried to become open to all that takes his interest. It's been an interesting ride.

Loyalty in moderate doses is good. And in K's case, it's not an issue, I don't mind being loyal to him. It's normally friends that I have problems in this area.
