I confess, I don't read a lot of lesbian publications.

I'm curious so I sometimes skim through it at the bookstore. However, I am too much of a cheap ass to buy it. lol Plus I remember the dirty look one woman gave me at a Borders Books once for buying The Lesbian Sex Book.

Computer Gaming, Cooking, JLA, Catwoman, WonderWoman, and Supergirl.

It's all the reading ANY lesbian needs. If you need clarification as to why any of these titles are essential to lesbainhood, please ask.

Ok, why are Computer Gaming and Cooking essential to lesbianhood? lol

And how about JLA, why magazine is that?

I'm boring. I subscribe to National Geographic.
National Geographic is a great magazine, I love the glossy detailed photos in them, they are beautiful. :) And the articles are usually great as well, I love all the ones on archeology, or other countries, or jungles, or warzones.

Computer Gaming: Unlike me, lesbians quickly realized that physical confrontations over who was superior was bad for the entire population so they invented the "pissing contest". In its current electronic incarnation the pissing contest involves beating the other dyke's ass at Soul Caliber II

Suck katana, be-och!

Cooking: Lesbians like food, d'uh.

JLA (Justice League of America): Good for both the male and female queer, the JLA helps all of us keep up with the latest trends in art and fashion.

Unlike you?!
So there are some women who like those types of fighting games after all. My friend and I were just talking about that recently, how many action games have lead female characters and now some of them are not even allowing you to choose a male character. I was like why, how many women could possibly play those games in the first place? I know some guys like to play buxom chicks so they could ogle their own character but its getting a little out of hand.

Who doesn’t, other than Lara Flynn Boyle that is... :p

I think the JLA is gayer, it does have Batman and is 6/7th male.

Sorry, brownhairedboy, I meant 'unlike men'.

Men rarely fight now days, besides-most don;t know how.
Two weeks ago I went to see a semi-pro UFC-like mixed martial arts event and the two most intense, brutal, and exciting matches were the women's matches. :)

Have to give credit to those men who do not mind to prance around in their tights, leaving no room for the imagination to work. Strut it super heros. As for Wonder Woman, I have always wanted that Amazon bitch to dominate me. Hawk Girl could play to.

Wonder Woman is a lesbian?

She's bi, Cat Woman informed me they had a taudry love affair after the Batman split on the both of them. Seems he found out how super Superman really was.
Besides she is Amazon, all those woman, no men. HHHMMMMMMM they just did not knit and crochett all day.

Are you sure? I heard that Amazonia has the most Linen 'N Things stores per square town then any other place in the world.

I think I'm going to have to ask for some picture evidence before I can take your word on this.

Feel free to post some drawings here to prove me wrong.

brownhairedboy2,
The JLA is currently composed of Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, the Flash, Aquaman, and Wonder Woman. That's six men and one woman who was raised on an island of all women. (Plastic man is in there as well.)

Hmmm, America has one of the highest rates of personal violence in the world and the majority of people arrested and convicted for violent crimes are male.

Island of all women?!
And where is this island located? *calling my travel agent to book a flight* :D

Hmmm, America has one of the highest rates of personal violence in the world and the majority of people arrested and convicted for violent crimes are male.

Most of them are career criminals that hardly constitute a majority of the male population or people in altered states of mind (mental problems, high and delusional on drugs, or drunk as a skunk). Most men hardly ever fight anymore now days and sadly many murders could probably have been prevented by a simple fistfight rather than a deadly shooting.

I get On Our Backs because I was in the Oct/Nov 2000 issue and I got a year's subscription as part of my payment. They forgot to turn off the subscription, so it's still coming - and I'm not reminding them of anything! I received a gift subscription to Out. I would love to get the Advocate but it's way too expensive for me.

I also get World of Puzzles, Weight Watchers, Bitch, and Saveur. (Well, the last two come in my girlfriend's name, and I don't even read Saveur.) I buy Canoe & Kayak and Paddler on the newsstand pretty often. My girlfriend's parents get Newsweek, The New Yorker, US News & World Report, and Cat Fancy among others, but those are the only ones they pass along that I care to read.

Who's gayer, the Justice league or the X-Men?

I would have to say the X~Men.

There's a noted parallel between homophobia and the kind of "mutant hysteria" that happens in many of the X-Mens storylines. The X-Men live in a world where they are feared, misunderstood and persecuted for being born the way they are whereas the Justice League is made up of DC Comics most "iconic" and popular characters.

Gay characters do well in comics. Anyone interested should check out www.gayleague.com .

I also pick up the village voice every week it comes out.
