I was thinking about this cat yesterday in my yard obviously hunting birds. I was a hundred feet away or more just watching. I took a couple of steps towards him and both his ears turned quickly around towards me. My steps must have sounded like a drum beat to him.

Cats are amazing. I have two and they are such a joy.

And then they get sick and break your heart. :( No more pets for me.

..........................

I saw a patch of bluebonnets in the median today. They were not nearly as striking as this but they've provided incentive for me to take a drive out to the country real soon.

I left for class early this morning, and I noticed the ground was fairly wet and the sky was gloomy, but I didn't think much of it.

An hour and a half later, after class, I look outside and it's a damn DELUGE outside. I'm wearing a T-shirt, jeans, sandals and no umbrella. And, since I don't have a car, I had to walk back to my dorm across half the campus.

By the time I got home, I looked and felt like a drowned rat. My clothes were so soaked they were sloshing.

I just had to laugh at the suddenness and the insanity of it all; I was laughing hysterically all the way back to my dorm. :D

I smiled today at my kindergarten class. I always love them, but they gave me a Korean name today. In honor of the figure skater that won they have named me me, someone who has ice skated exactly once in her entire life, Kim Yu Na, or for those of you that prefer family name last, Yu Na Kim. I was honored that they would compare me to her. On days like these, I LOVE my job!:D

One of country's most famous actress/tv-personality (Katja Schuurman) came through the drive-through today and I helped her twice! She's as sexy in real life as on the screen. When helping her I acted normal, but when she drove off I said "Damn!" to myself. And then she back for another order...

I had an interesting experience today. I had a doctors appointment and among other stuff I needed to have a UA. Just as I put my tush on the seat and attempted to unfold those foolish wipe things that always rip before they do any good, I hear an alarm {waaaa waaaa}. I'm thinking damn, I hit that "push if you need help" button, which can be handy at times but I digress.

The annoying and definitely unwelcome sound was followed by an announcement (a 'canned' voice) that there's an emergency on the floor and we are to evacuate the area if, IF mind you, the warning is followed by another alarm. All I wanted was do what I was there to do but this crazy announcement replays three times and I'm sitting there waiting for a different alarm or for my system to be able to complete my mission! I just started laughing and laughing -- gotta love timing.

My 3 year old, as we're heading out the door to go to daycare. She was watching TV and told me, "We can't turn the TV off, Mai Tai (our cat) wants to watch Spongebob!" So...I had to leave the TV on for the cat.

Aww that's sweet!

My sister does the same things for her cats. Of course, she's 26...

Cat people. *shrug*

My cat loving the Animal Planet. But she thinks any can I open is tuna. I guess cats are naturally hopeful?

Mine like to yell at me while while I'm opening cans, so I will just put the can of tuna in front of 'em...un opened. And say, "it won't open by itself if you scream at it"

Two little boys in their baseball uniforms came to the door, selling candy bars for their team. "Oh, no, thank you, honey," I said, smiling, "but looks like you've had a few." One of the little boys had chocolate smeared all across his cheek. He shook his head solemnly. I said, "You didn't? You sure? Not even one?" The little guy said, "Huh uh, no." The two boys turned and started to walk away, and the second little boy said, "Yeah, just four!" The first little boy yelped, "I did not!"

So cute!

Remembering high school. 10th grade biology. We had to do an oral report on an animal. I picked the Duckbilled Platypus. I remember how the entire class howled with laughter when I said the female Platypus has no nipples. Well, she doesn't! :D

Spring is in the air and watching my 21 month old son running around in the grass and sun ......without a worry in the world :) How i wish i can regress back to this age again

Being blessed with so much rain lately. The lakes are filling back up. Good for the economy. For a while there the Southeast US was really worried about running out of water.

my dog chasing bubbles that I was blowing for her in the garden and tripping over the edge of the decking cos she wasn't looking where she was going :D

my mom made me laugh when she called me all proud of herself because she had touched the computer keyboard and wanted to let me know she was using the computer...now if i can just get her to check her email even once, I mean its like two clicks and a password away but she has such a mental block against it. Seriously mom...it isnt about to bite your hand off you know...lol
