What kind of music do you like to wake up to?

For the past 7 months or so, my alarm clock/cd player is set to play Apex Theory, so I wake up to that 7 times a day.

well my boyfriend usually wakes me up in the middle of the night with techno...

i like waking up to classical...not just instrumental...classical.

During the week, I have to admit I like waking up to Mancow. No matter what day it is, there's always something on there that makes me just HAVE to get up and shut the damn radio off. ;)

On weekends, I like instrumental, specifically a Celtic cd I have. Nice and mellow...

Sunday morning music is its own genre. Billie Holliday does it for me...or Low, Gillian Welch, some of the more mellow Peter Gabriel.

When it's time to get up for work (like it will be in about 4 hours), the screeching alarm gets me up and going better, though.

Are you a narcoleptic?

Alright...do me a favor. Pretend I have the intelligence of a grade schooler and say that again in lamen's terms to me please. :D

I wake up to the loud beeping of the alarm.. or the loud yells of a seven year old.

Music wouldn't wake me up.. because I usually sleep with the tv on... either Discovery channel or MTv.

Your typo..."seven times a day." Narcolepsy would be falling asleep unpredictably and often, hence the frequent waking.

(But it was funnier the way she said it.)

Oooooo...now I know what that is. Didn't register with me when I read it.

Don't you hate when you have to explain a joke ;)

Usually something non-vocal...that lets me just ease out of bed.

Unfortunately, it is usually whatever one of my roomates has picked on his clock/radio...cause they wake up a bit before me most days.

Ouch. :p I didn't catch my typo on my orginal post that started it all, lol.

If I actually want to wake up on time, I need to have loud loud music, any kind, but loud, and the beeps too, or else I incorporate the music into my dreams and continue sleeping.

In other words, I need to be shocked into consciousness. Man I hate that.

I sleep through it, but the radio's set to 101x. Usually a commercial. Drat my luck.

I have a list of songs on my MP3 player that I start up as soon as I wake up to get me going:

"Cochise" - Audioslave
"Lovercall" - Danko Jones
"Deny" - Default
"Adrenaline" - Gavin Rossdale
"Woke Up This Morning" - Nickleback
"Not Enough" - Our Lady Peace
"Superstar II" - Saliva
"Rocket Science" - The Pimps
"Beautiful Day" - U2
