I am exuding my Chinese half. LOL. Tongue in cheek, of course, but still, China has a long and continuous history - and much to be proud of. It could easily have been China that established itself as THE world power back in 15th century when Zheng He was leading his fleets as far as India, Arabia, and Africa south to Mozambique. With a little vision on the part of the Yongle Emperor, it could well have been China that became the dominant colonial power and "discovered" Europe, rather than Vasco da Gama, whose voyage to India in 1498 sparked of European expansion.



Anyhow, the point was, people have to understand this is the way China thinks. Chinese in general, esp from the PRC, are nationalist like you wouldn't believe. There's a reason Wolf Warrior 2 (released in China in 2017) became the all-time highest-grossing film in China. Wolf Warrior Diplomacy has been termed that for a reason. Like it or not, China is reclaiming it's place in the world, and sees its only rival as the USA - and China plays a long game. Witness the occupation of Xinjiang and Tibet. The minorities were first controlled and pacified, and now, 70 years later, they are minorities and are being Sinicized, whether they like it or not. And the ones that don't like it are sent off to the concentration camps where they are re-education, executed or used as involuntary organ donors.

Ohhh, I understand the terrain and the challenges. I've read quite a bit about the Aksai Chin and the Kashmir wars between India and Pakistan. Challenging isn't the half of it. And as for Assam, well, I've read the books by the British who explored there and it's easy to understand how rugged it is. Unbelievably rugged. The discovery of Sanxingdui in 1987 was a major surprise since it indicated a major culture in Neolithic China that was previously unknown. Circa 2050–1250 BCE, the site of Sanxingdui, 40 km north of Chengdu appears to have been the center of a fairly extensive kingdom (named Shu), with their own unique art....anyhow, that's a bit off topic but these masks are fascinating and quite beautiful.

What you said, if it's not known as lying with your eyes wide open or wetting the bed when you are in wakefulness, can only be understood as a cooked duck head with a hard mouth left as in the saying of China, or an ostrich with the head buried in sand as in the English proverb.

Technically, leading means doing the best or being the best in a certain field. For example, Swiss banks are most responsible for their customers' work, where money is stored without worrying about being seized or taken away by others, making them the world's number one and leader. Another example, the African savannah has the most wild animals, making it the world's number one, although the number of people who can eat enough on that continent is not necessarily higher than the number of full animals there.

Even the last-placed team of the NBA of the United States can easily beat many national teams of other countries, making it the world's number one. China's table tennis is also so excellent that even a local team can dominate the world, unstoppable by anyone. The same applies to the cricket of India, the football of Brazil, the sumo of Japan, the drug trafficking of Colombia, the transexual business of Thailand, the telephone fraud of Myanmar, etc.

I agree there are still some species that exist continuously in the world longer than the Chinese civilization. Take the Aborgine in Australia as you mentioned here for example. It is true that for some time (perhaps as long as two thousand years) it is the same as other civilization, but what about the later stages? Can that still be called civilization when they are naked 247 before whoever, family and strangers alike, while Chinese people have developed its own clothing, food, and other culture? Maori is the same as the one you said, I believe, apart from the thundering roar they can shout out as presented by the New Zealand athletes in the Paris Olympics, what else is there remained to be known as civilization?

So many American people and people of other countries who know a little about English language have enjoyed the shows of two old boys, one being Biden, the other Trump, for so long, there is something freshing at least to make a change to see some show of children, because at least children are the hope of the world.
