I liked Texas better when it was known for gun racks and drive through liquor stores.

Only robbery? I think Chicago just got crowned the murder capital of the US or something like that.

Washington State is a surprise. I want to see the evidence of that. (Not that it can be posted to Literotica.) :D

"nerdiest state?" Ohio should be ashamed of having such an unshameful shame!

Also, what could be the difference between "poorest health" (Kansas,) and "most sickly" (Georgia?)

ETA, ". Iowa: highest percentage of people age 85 and older (1.8 percent) (tied with three other states) A good rate of longevity doesn't seem shameful at all. Unless it's because young people die off fast, or just-- get the hell out of Dodge.

Uh, ones in the south and the other is in the mid-west?

Taxes. But I want to be in the nerdiest state. That's more of a bonus for me.

I had no idea Pennsylvania was worst at arson, and the smart ass in me want to ask if that means we have the most unsuccessful attempts. :p

NJ and taxes does not surprise me. My parents are looking to move in a year or so after my dad retires because they simply can't afford it. My taxes are about half of theirs, depending on the tax in question, I think. It has always amused me that for all of the jokes about NJ, it is an expensive place to live.

Texas? Texas has no taxes(income). Of course the sales tax is 7.25% to which local authorities add about 1 to 1.25%.

You know, I always thought Arizona was where other states send their fucked up people. Not that alcoholism says it's not but dang.

Hell, if this was a poll, CT-izens would fall into one of two categories:

A.) Connecticut is not bad at ANYTHING, ESPECIALLY WOMEN'S BASKETBALL!
B.) Connecticut sucks at everything, life is so much better in (NYC / Mass).

On a serious note, breast cancer hits home. Aunt's a survivor, Mom's a fighter.

According to the source article, the Kansas one is based on number of limited activity days per month (I guess that translates to "sick days") and Georgia is based on influenza rates, which seems oddly specific.

You could be right, but being just littlest bit defensive, have you ever considered it could be populated by people who got tired of spending half of their lives living in sub freezing temperatures with ass deep snow?

I live in the lower desert and yes it does get warm, but I have never had to shovel a single bit of heat from my drive way even one time in the years I've lived here. I will admit it does get frigid here. On average once a year we have a freeze.

Feel free to think of me as being a fucked up reject, I'll happily live with that and my single annual freeze. Thank you very much.

Mike
