KilerMuffin Asked Bout Yer Favorite SK Book, I Did Not Respond Cause None Of Them Actually Frightened Me. I Did However LOVE Firestarter And The Stand:)

One Of My Favorite Authors Is Peirs Anthony!
Never Read A Book That I Did Not Like By Him. My Favorites Would Have To Be, The Incarnations Of Immortality Series, The Adept Series & Firefly:)

What Are Your Favorite's?

I love Piers Anthony - though its been a long time since I've read his books.

The one book he wrote that is most apropo for Literotica is Pornucopia.

Pornucopia is a picaresque black comedy thattransgresses all bounds of everyday good taste. It begins in a near-future world where sex-vending machines and genital transplants are taken for granted.

Story Synopsis ...

Prior Gross, the hero and sex object of this wild adventure, thinks his fantasies have all come true when a beautiful young woman seduces him on a public beach. She turns out to be a succubus, beginning his initiation into a realm populated by demons which are not merely horned, but horny. He encounters a perverse cast of characters that includes a satyr, a vampire, and a pair of luscious sisters, one of whom tricks him out of his manhood.

So Prior Gross sets out on a perverse odyssey, taking him to a distant planet where he discovers the key to the return of his property and, ultimately, the origin of the universe itself.

the Geodyssey Series

Isle of Woman
Shame of Man
Hope of Earth
Muse of Art

Not his usual pun-ishing fantasy, but some very good hyptheses about history.

Well, thanks to Ravenloft, I would have to say that I absolutely love Firefly. It was a remarkable book. Thank you, Jas for introducing me to that book.

I think the Xanth series are a good set...

The Adept series and the Incarnations of Imortality are up there, along with the Tarot series.

Even though he has been formulaic in some of his writing, I have enjoyed the way his mind appears to work.

I can say I have yet to read one of his books I did not like, and I will read any others of his books I have not yet read as soon as I can lay my hands on them.

EZ

Firefly was an amasing book without a shadow of a doubt.

I had not known more than a hand full here had ever heard of it.

I will have to look for Pornucopia now though...

And I LOVED the Xanth series up to The Color of Her Panties... After that I sorta dwindled away from Piers...

Got hooked on Neil Gaiman I did!

One you all should look for is Good Omens by Pratchett and Gaiman! What a wonderfully humorous novel about the apocolips that was!

The Incarnations of Immortality

Loved all seven, though I've never found another series of his that I enjoyed as thoroughly.

I especially enjoyed the first, fifth, and sixth books (Death, Nature, and Satan). Well written, philosophical without being preachy, all seven nicely interwoven but also clear and interesting on their own. A big thumbs up all around!

I have read:

The Incarnations of Imortality, The Xanth Series, The Tarot Series, and The Mode Series (even though it SUCKED!)

It's hard to say what my favorite book from the Xanth Series is because I loved them all!! BUT! I can say that my fav book's from the Incarnation's series would have to be On a Pale Horse, and For Love of Evil!!!!

Havent read for a long long time...
but 'On a pale horse' was my favourite.

But I havent read Firefly, might try to find it :)

Cactiphile.

I loved the Incarnatoins of Immortality. I haven't read them in years. Unfortunately, I loaned then to a friend and he never returnmed them and I have long since lost contact with him. I miss those books. *sighs*
