You can look on bondage.com. I saw about 15 women there who had signed on in Iowa in the past 24 hours. Only a page and a half total there compared to 7 pages in Georgia. I don't know about ND, but Iowa has a couple of big universities. seems to me they might have lifestyle scenes. You might check out the real life bulletin boards, or bookstores etc around campuses for signs of life.

i grew up in Iowa (and still love the place!). i never had too much trouble finding partners into BDSM there. In fact, it seems like i met more people into it than not!
