Where did this "Z" -- as a Russian symbol for victory in Ukraine -- come from, anyway? There is no such letter in the Cyrillic alphabet -- there is a letter with the same phonetic value, but it looks kind of like an Arabic numeral 3.
seems to vary from it meaning 'West' to "freedom' to 'war'
i'd not be surprised if some twat came up with the thinking of 'World War Z' or (as peck pointed out, the numeral that looks kind of like a 3, so World War 3, so a 'catchy' theme to grab the attention of the putinites (of similar ilk to the magites)
a russian satellite bears it now, as does copious amounts of apparel
