1) Having a thread rejected, but no feedback given as to why.
2) Having a thread sit in limbo -never being approved
3) Having no one reply to a post

#2 is the most annoying, because you can't move on. At least with #1, its over and done. Your word is the key here: 'limbo'.

If a thread never gets approved or denied, that means noone is at the helm, and no matter how many places you can find to attach a thread, you can only ever go one thread deep. No story continuity. In case like that, I move on to other stories. (Or adopt the story as abandoned -- which is really what I do.)

I'd have to say having a thread left orphan is VERY annoying, especially if you think it's a good thread or you're trying to help a new story get started. It's as if the other authors on that story are telling you that they don't like your writings.

When I write a new thread, I generally hope that someone out there other than me will write a new addition to it. I try most of the time to write threads that will entice writers, to add. So, it is disapointing when no one does, but patience sometimes pay off here, and I've had some great threads added to mine months after I have written them.

There's seemingly just way, way more readers than writers here, and so getting additings can sometimes be tough.

I've been lucky to work with imhotep and lilguy, but there are other stories were my threads have languished for weeks or even months.

Well said. I feel the same.

how 'bout this:

The author/editor changes your thread without telling you!
