News, or hysteria about rice, just in time for Thanksgiving ?
Who will profit, if holiday shoppers do not buy rice, and look for rice alternatives ?
White rice is NOT safer if it is from China. No end to the list of poisons in Chinese rice.
And there is no end of countries willing to pretend the Chinese rice was grown in their country.
Today, vegetarians all over the USA are upset. What is a whole grain lover, to do ? The news is trumpeting the news that brown rice has a high content of arsenic.
What the report failed to say is that Southern states in the USA used arsenic to prevent damage to cotton fields.
The big news today, is that brown rice has less arsenic than white rice.
The most of the helpful and nutritious minerals and vitamin, are locked up in the bran and ( outer covering) and the germ (heart) of the rice.
Sadly, the best part of the rice can be made poisonous by the soil it grows in.
Alerts on arsenic in rice have been posted in articles since 2006.
Rice growers started lawsuits, because chicken based fertilizer contained the arsenic.
The chickens were treated with arsenic, to treat or prevent diseases.

Organic rice suppliers test their samples for arsenic.
The presence of arsenic in rice bran and rice oil is well known.
Organic farmers are very careful about their soil. They do not add more arsenic to the soil.
Just last year, the FDA said not to worry about arsenic levels in rice.
