I live 2 hours north of Columbus. Not much going on there unless you're into Ohio University sports, or shopping (a nice French Quarter) that science place COSI. Wait til its warm and come up to the Lake! We've got Cedar Point, boating, beaches, islands to party on - the list goes on and on........ much better here in the summer! (winter's we just lay around the shanty and put a good buzz on)

I dont know if its a coincidence but everytime I check the venue for a band I like doing a tour they always stop at Columbus Ohio to do a show... you might check for a concert there that night.

Cleveland has Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Cleveland Indians (dont' laugh - some of us like them! lol) The Flats (great partying down by the river) Natural History Museum, Football Hall of Fame, lots of nice concert venues, and the LAKE!

Columbus isn't that bad. I'm originally from Dayton (about an hour from there) and my sister lives in Columbus now. COSI is a great place if you're interested in Science and stuff like that.
