I never been to one and my story includes a chapter where the MC goes to one. Is it like a brothel or an orgy or something?

I've been to a couple and they ranged from a simple meet and greet kind of club where dancing and fllirting was of course allowed, but nothing sexual was allowed to happen on the premises. Others had public, semi-pvt and pvt play areas as well as the nightclub-like meeting area.

No doubt you were a very popular lady 😉😈

There's a local club in my area, like 50km (30ish miles) from where I live. Hubby and me are lifelong swingers, so we visit it few times per year. Entrance is 50 Euros for a couple. In the central area (bar) people are mostly clothed, like in a normal bar, but there are exemptions. In the back area, there are larger rooms for orgies and basically freeuse sex. This we rarely do as there are all sorts of people. I mean it's polite to ask if you're gonna do something, but... There are also smaller rooms for few couples top. We use those rooms mostly as we're fucking there with some people we regularly meet there.

Thats exactly what I wanted to know. I wasn't sure if that was normal. Thanks!

A friend who is a self confessed nympho says she used to go every Friday and said she loved it.

I've only been to one, Hellfire in the UK, but happy to give details if you want, but it looks like other people have answered your query.

I went to one once, it wasn’t quite a club, more a party for select guests. I was actually a ‘ticket’ for the man I went with, which is generally frowned on in those sort of gatherings. It was interesting, I took part in a small degree, and I left there tired. Although not something I’d do again, I’m sure there are plenty who would.

Lucy.

In addition to the above, "high end," private clubs require a membership at a rather substantial yearly fee. They also require each member undergo an orientation and sign a contract that stipulates rules of decorum and stiff penalties for any breach of privacy. Non-members are not allowed, but the location is a closely guarded secret, so it's not like you could walk in off the street, anyway. Strange as it may sound, there is a strict dress code. While sex does occur at these clubs, there is not much of it, and it is only allowed in specific sections of the club. These clubs serve mostly as meeting places. Most sex takes place off the premises.

In these clubs if you break the rules you'll be tossed out immediately and your membership is revoked. Consequently, there is no rudeness, no one drinking too much, no creepy guys drooling at you from a dark corner. They are well worth the membership price.

Swinger clubs are known for providing an environment where couples can explore their sexual boundaries and engage in consensual partner swapping. Beyond the traditional concept of partner swapping, these clubs also provide a platform for various forms of sexual exploration. In some cases, husbands can get horny watching their wives being fucked by other men, highlighting the diversity of experiences that take place in the swinger community. This unique dynamic demonstrates the consensual nature of these interactions. It emphasises the importance of open communication and trust between participating couples, fostering an environment where individuals can explore their desires respectfully and consensually.

In a good club, as much or as little as you like. You should be able to express yourself and enjoy yourself as you please without feeling pressured or obliged. Be very honest and upfront, especially with yourself! Women usually have a better and/or upper hand when it comes to things like this.

So, those in the know ...

What are these on premise places really like. I've read some reviews that make them sound like dumps. They say the better ones are only meet and greet like an upscale bar or night club. Others talk about house parties or hotel take overs.

But for the on premise places that allow full sex, what are they like? Are they nice, clean?

Who does the cleaning? Is there a housekeeping staff? Is there food?

Try to paint a word picture for those of us who will never go to one.

What about the people? I'm guessing all races and legal ages, attractive or not. Dressed, undressed, erotic or fetish attire?

In Germany you find Sex-Clubs and Swingerclubs.
Sex-Clubs are a sort of brothel. All women are prostitutes. You pay an entrebce fee and then different fees, depending on what sort of sex you demand from the female workers there.

A Swingerclub is a Club where normal people meet to have Sex with their own partner or other people. There are no prostitutes. You pay an entrance fee, including a buffet and drinks, nothing else. For single persons, especially men, there is no guarantee to find someone to have sex with. The main rule is "everything goes, but nothing must"
These clubs are safe and clean places and are mostly run in a familiar way, although they have to earn money of course.

They vary tremendously.

At the bottom tier, house parties are just that. Someone's home where they'll often be by invitation only, you'll pay a small amount to be there. Ratio of women to men is usually good if the hosts are selective. Quality varies, as does cleanliness.

Next up, low quality clubs. House of Poitier in the UK is one such. It's a private house with rooms for sex and is touted as a swinger club but they employ working girls to bump up the female numbers and to make sure every man gets laid. I would not recommend, I would certainly not take my partner there because some men treat all the women like working girls.

Top tier, clubs that are well thought out, nicely decorated, have attentive staff and attract the 'right sort of people'. You'll find all manner of people, depending on the theme of the night, dressed or in lingerie, a bar, comfortable seating areas to meet and chat, and rooms for sex, some private, some with windows so others can watch.

If there's a buffet, avoid it. You don't know where other people's fingers have been.

You'll find all ages, I've met ladies barely out of their teens but the majority will be 30s to 50s. All ethnicities but primarily white. Black men obviously always do well there.

Couples enter the establishment stepping into a well-decorated reception area, large enough to accommodate 10 - 20 people. There are several "hosts" (bouncers) working this room. They greet couples and verify their membership. Anyone who cannot verify membership and anyone not meeting the dress code is turned away. Hence the reason why most clubs include a coat check at this point. The host then escorts the couple into the club. No one is allowed to enter unescorted. Also, this area is constructed so that it is not possible to see into the club, and any attempt to get past the hosts would be very hard to do.

Inside differs, but for the most part, just imagine a very nice nightclub, fully staffed with waitresses, bartenders, bouncers, DJ, and housekeeping. Around the dance floor is loud, so almost all clubs include a separate area that includes everything (bartenders, waitresses, etc) except the dance floor and the loud music. Other areas may include an area for smoking cigars, a game room, a room for viewing porn, a swimming pool, hot tub(s), and of course, there are areas for sex. There are rules for entering the sex areas. One club I know of has a lounge for women only. It is a very nice, quiet, well-appointed private space.

It is necessary to exit the way you came in.

Add all this up, and as you can imagine, these are not small places. They are modern, clean (the bathrooms are always spotless), and customer service is always top notch. My husband and I have debated opening one ourselves.

I hope this helps.

Honestly, I think you can imagine that there are different clubs which meet the opposite ends and the spectrum in the middle of all of those parameters. If you want to imagine a dumpy one, I'm sure there's a real-life one which comes close. Same with a chichi, top-shelf type.

I was the audience entertainment at one! (A sex show type club. Not a swingers private type club)

Not as sleazy as I was expecting. More humorous and tongue in cheek than I was expecting

Indeed. I was in a club like that in Amsterdam a few years back and it was more humorous than erotic.
