He holds too many press conferences.

I miss the good old days when my President and his boss, the VP, held secret meetings and didn't bother us with details like what they were doing.

What I hate is that he's proving to be as inexperienced and "not enough guts" as I predicted he would be when he still had opposition in the primaries.

I just don't trust Obama. Not because he really does smoke when he claims he quit. Not because his wife and kids take whirlwind vacations all over the world at taxpayer expense. Not because he comes up with legislative plans that have been abandoned over and over by previous presidents as totally unworkable. Not because I can only find three people in the entire state who admit they voted for him giving him an election edge in the primaries of some 54,000 votes.

Hmm.... On the other hand, maybe those are some of the reasons I don't like him.

Nah, some of that I find just nutty--a stretched conclusion looking for a reason--and the rest is pretty petty. And think there are real, objective reasons to have a few concerns. But then I'm sure I've had a few concerns about all presidents during my lifetime.

I don't care who the president is, SR. I haven't trusted any of them because it's us that get's screwed.

I don't like him because he speaks in complete sentences and uses big words and shit. Makes me incomfortous.

At sumbitch, Wilson from South Carolina, told his ass tonight , din't he. Yee doggies!

I don't trust him because he's a politician. Especially, he's a politician from Chicago.

After his speech tonight, I'll be surprised if any liberal worth his Birkenstocks will still admit to having voted for him! That talk was more Free-Market and Conservative than most Republicans will cop to these days.......Carney

Yes, well, he's always been more conservative than the dogmatic reactionaires would let themselves think--although, God knows they were told this was the case. They just had their minds made up as soon as they saw what color he was.

the man is far too reasonable. so much so that--dare i say--he's almost UNamerican.

he seems utterly unaware of the true purpose of the second amendment.

Too reasonable by far if you ask me! He's the ultimate manchurian candidate! They've found the Kenyan birth certificate! He's been installed by the New World Order so that they can dominate us! We need to resist. If he has his way we'll all be well-educated, focused, healthy, intuitive, prosperous and liberal. Our children will have negro friends. Where will it end?
Oh! What a fate!

I don't know what speech you saw, Carny, but in the words of Racheal Maddow:

The president gave what I think is the only full, basically formal, at length defense of liberalism and defense of the idea of government for the people's good, in ideological terms. It's the most ideological I've ever heard him be and I think liberals will be happy.

I read the speech, and while I did detect a tendency towards pragmatism, I didn't perceive him caving in to Free-Market Conservative ideals. In fact, I saw him repudiating Free Market Conservative ideals. The fact that he's bailed on a single-payer option has more to do with the ignorance of the American public (and their susceptibility to the Right Wing propaganda machine) than his integrity, or ideology.

What I hate about Obama is he's probably the last President of the United States of America.

He does need to step it up or it will be over before it really began.

Blacks should stick to basketball and dancing and pharmaceuticals.

Possible, but I really doubt that. He and some of his liberal allies might want to set up some kind of socialistic dictatorship, but I doubt that he would be able to pull it off. I certainly hope not.

Uh no, box, you are looking left when you should be looking right.

What? If the Cons wanted to take over, they'd be operating in secrecy, setting up a shadow government, destroying our liberties, lying to us, torturing people they don't like and giving money to their supporters--stuff like that. You seen any signs of that happening?

Not one iota.

And Fox News would tell us if anything like that was happening.

Especially once they become the official news station of the USA.
