I really feel old now. Never even heard of quite of a few of the ones you youngsters are listing. I grew up with the Fractured Fairy tales, Yogi Bear, the Flintstones, the Jetsons, Magilla Gorilla, Bugs Bunny, Foghorn Leghorn, Roadrunner, Scooby Doo (the FIRST time around), Mighty Dog, Pepe LePeu, Tom and Jerry, Sylvestor and Tweety, etc. Hmmm.... maybe I watched too many cartoons as a kid if I can still remember this many of them. There was another one with a rabbit that was faster than a speeding bullet, but I can't remember the name of that one.

I was hooked on Warner Brothers Cartoons. Half my vocabulary (yes Miss Southern, Foghorn Leghorn used the word pulchritude to describe Miss Prissy in one of his courting scenes) and the entirety of my knowledge of classical music and opera comes from those rascals. Bullwinkle was seriously subversive (Candlestick Jumpers Local #13 On Strike!) and The Pink Panther often bordered on dadaism. I still watch these things!

I was an odd child, rarely watched cartoons, but I did regularly partake of GI Joe. Duke was the stuff of my wild childhood fantasies. In my fevered little imaginings I used to get all gooey inside thinking of whooping Cobra Commander's butt together. I enjoyed the A Team (it may as well have been a cartoon...) entirely too much. Murdock is my hero. Murdock and the Joker. Doesn't it strike you as odd that Luke Skywalker does the vocals for the Joker in today's Batman cartoon? Vinnie, the kewlll biker mouse from mars and Wildwing, the Goalie cum leader of the Mighty Ducks cartoon have something in common. Ian Zering, yes ladies and gents, Beverly Hills has gone the way of the critters. Every once in a while, I recall, on the Biker Mice, Luke Perry would slum with his buddy as the alien leader dude who ruled Detroit. He often fought an alien in Chicago known as Lawrence Limburger. Yes, it is scary that I know these things. No, I don't have to much time on my hands... hahahahahahahaha the voices! the voices!!!!

I'm probabaly dating myself here, but I had the original "Johnny West" and his horse. Of course action figures were much bigger in those days. This guy was about 12 inches tall and came with all the gear a cowboy needs.

As for TV shows, I liked Gunsmoke, Gilligan's Island, Car 54 Where are You, Lost in Space, and Petticoat Junction. I think my first wet dreams were of Billie Jo, Bobbi Jo, and Betty Jo taking their baths in that old water tank!

Me personally, I think it's entirely too cool that Luke Skywalker now voices the Joker. They're two of my favorite characters of all time.. There's a lot of depth to both of them actually. I have a large book of short-stories about the Joker that's really quite fascinating.

One of the best jokes about cofee I've ever heard came from that show.

Josie and the Pussycats - Can't think of that without the tune going in my head. Remember how they all used to run with their arms stuck out straight in front of them?

Johnny Quest - What was his little dog's name? Rajah? Or was that his Indian friend...?

Aquaman - I wanted to ride a seahorse more than anything.

Hobo Kelly - That show would never get on the air now. They'd have to name her Homeless Hannah, or something like that.

Captain Kangaroo - That wasn't his real hair, was it...

Romper Room - That damned bitch never saw me in the Magic Mirror.

Huckleberry Hound - Oh, m'darlin, oh, m'darlin, oh, m'darlin, Clementine!

Mighty Mouse - I had a poster of this superhero on my bedroom wall for a long time. Loved his little red briefs.

Felix the Cat, the wonderful wonderful cat.

Sick as it may sound... Degrassi was what first turned me on to "making out" which is sorta sick really b/c in that episode that girl that makes out ends up getting pregnant... (ahhh scary!)

I remember the old cartoon like bugs bunny and speed racer and stuff that we all frew up to that my kids think are stupid and boring.

No they rather watch poke e mon which I do not understand at all. And rugrats and some really weird show called the wild thornberrys and stuff that doesn't even have any humor to at all.

I wish there were more entertaing shows for the kids the ones that we grew up to taught you morals but also had fun watching them now the companies are so worried about the violence they forget to entertain the kids or maybe it is just me I just wish cartoons were more like the old days.
