What happened???

All of a sudden I keep getting the message "You are not authorized to access this page" when I click on the link to threads I'm subscribed to. I also get that message sometimes when I click on links included in thread postings. Can anyone tell me what's happened and how I can fix it??? As you can see by my avatar I'm hardly a "newbie" and this is VERY aggravating as I can't even access posts that are e-mailed to me...

I was having trouble too. When I tried to post, it said that I can only post once every 30 seconds. 24 hours later................ I sent an email to lit asking what was going on and now it's working. May I suggest that you do the same?

There are times when lit is down or does weird things. Consider it part of dealing with computer technology! LOL!

I havent gotten any mail from things I am subscribed to get from the board in a couple of days so I am confused too

yeah, me too. usually there's a big bunch of emails saying "reply to post something or other" and now nothing! but i'm sure lit will be back in working order eventually! ^_^

There were server issues yesterday that threw a bunch of things off, including posts and times of posts.

Things should be back in working order now.

hey I didn't get anything when you wrote that it should be better now and I was totally off line when you posted it and I just got back here and I didn't have anything on it They propably still don't have everything back to normal ( I am not really complaining I am just stating the facts ) I love this site and its free and Hey I can look back and see how things are going but its nice to have an e mail when someone returns a post. anyway just wanted to say it wasn't back right yet

I think if you want to make sure you're getting notices........ at the bottom of the page click on "subscribe to this thread"
If you don't get e-mail notices then at least when you come in you can go to your CP....... Control Panel and it will show the threads you're subscribed to and the last person that posted in it

It was done that way, in the control Panell under subscribed threads the only choiceses were unsubscribe or reply. Nothing had changed with what it said but this morning I had 3 e mails telling me about the one next post here. It is propably still messed up a little but hey its working better. have to run its the

Lit sometimes has problems with the automatic e-mail notifications being processed in a timely manner. I suspect the server time problems had something to do with it this time; probably because of conflicts with the time it last showed you on the BB and the time stamps on the new posts.

Usually, delayed e-mails from Lit are probably caused by the script that creates and sends them out crashing or not being run on schedule.

I've got a sneaking suspicion that the thread I was subscribed to and links to other threads that resulted in the "not authorized" message may actually have been deleted by the Lit "censors". I've noticed several warnings on various threads about inappropriate posting of copyrighted photos and other materials. That may have happened with the "missing" thread (Bi-men and women threesomes) as there were a LOT of photos posted and I wouldn't be surprised if there weren't many of them downloaded from internet pay sites. If that IS the case the thread deserved to be "deleted" - There is NO excuse for posting copyrighted materials to these forums without explicit permission from the owner of the material. I know a couple of my stories have been plagerized and posted to other internet sites and I DON'T like it at all.

On the other hand, there are a great many porno pics of every genre in the internet "public domain" without any indication of ownership and/or copyright. I don't have a problem with posting those in appropriate forums and I would hope that Lit is not deleting threads based on such submissions. "Bi-men and Women Threesomes" was a very popular thread (more than 70 pages the last I saw...) and I would like to see it started up again and would hope that contributors would stick to Lit's rules so as to avoid it being deleted for potential legal problems.
