I'm just curious to see if anybody knows about what happened to G.H. Lawrence. He had quite a few fans out there. I know he was going to post another story titles "I Dare You". Does anyone know where I can find it?
If anyone has any information about that story or if Lawrence is going to post again let me know.

Thanks

I thought you meant D. H. Lawrence.
He's dead

Yes, he died in a motor bike accident after helping rid Arabia of the Turks.
He also wrote his account of his exploits in the book Seven Pillars of Wisden. (I never knew the Arabs played cricket.)

But before he died he started the international courier service that still bears his name today, D H L.

Never knowingly confused.

Goodness, I thought this was about Gertrude Lawrence. She's dead too, and I don't think ever wrote about Arabs or rode a motorbike.

Gertrude

You're right Perdita. She never rode a motor bike or an Arab, although there was a widespread rumour that one rode her. (Apparently she got rather carried away at a Wadi.) They actually made a film about this event and I would be surprised if you haven't seen it.

It starred Petra 0'Toole and was called 'Gertrude of Arabia.'

Wasn't Gertrude Lawrence the friend of Alice B. Toklas? The one who made brownies with corned beef hash or something?
