What happened to all of the doom and gloom economic threads?

The more salient point was that Obamacare, a massive piece of legislation, was pushed through on a purely partisan basis. That's a bad idea for any president of any party.

Nobody can ever really "read" such a law because the implementing regulations -- already upwards of 20,000 pages -- are now in NPRM.

Well wtf do you expect them to do?

Our government is so divided....our people so partisan brainwashed and hacky that's the only way anything functions.

And the GOP won't do anything short of turning back the clock 200 years as far as social/labor/environmental laws go....shackle up the niggers , tell that fuckin yappy bitch to get back in the kitchen before she catches a beat down that would make Kunta shit himself and lynch some faggots...oh and missing church is a capital offence.

Economically? Military Industrial Complex....that's it...you either go work for the bullet/bomb/F22/drone company living in their barracks eating their food, go to the military and fight the war....or die starving in the street. And they wont have anything less.....

Go GOP....that's not to say the DNC is much better....maybe a little...but not by much. The road to hell is paved with good intentions, savvy?

The two big mysteries of the day is, are you posting with tits or not, and how many kids have you sold drugs to today?

That's so sad that those are YOUR two big mysteries of the day. And you wonder why your 3rd wife left you and you kids can only stand you for 30 minutes on Christmas.

That's on the Republicans. Obama reached very very far across the aisle in attempts to bring some Republicans on board. I guess it is hard when there aren't a lot of them.

It's not 20,000 pages either. Last I checked it was just over 2,000 and even that was with a lot of blank pages or pages that simply refer you to other things. LEgalize is complicated language as you have to do everything you can to close up thousands upon thousands of loopholes. I'd be terrified of the law if it was shy of one thousand.

Your "purely partisan basis" whine conveniently overlooks the fact that Obamacare was passed by a majority of both the House of Representatives AND the United States Senate.

There is nothing in the Constitution that states that laws must be non-partisan.
Don't like it? Elect more people who believe as you do.

Perhaps someday you'll get a a majority in both the House and the Senate, and a President who supports your beliefs. I sincerely doubt we'll see that in the remainder of your lifetime, though.

Until then, I suggest you suck it up.

Congress read it. I know you've latched on to that stupid quote of "we have to pass this to see what's in it" well that's always true. Just most politicians are far too smart to say that outloud.

You didn't hear Bush saying "we have to Invade Iraq to see what weapons they have." But it's true. You didn't hear him say "We won't know when we'll be out of Afghanistan until we're out." It's the same thing just she admited it. It was stupid of her but it was stupid of her because it assumed the average American was smart enough to be dealt with like adults and not children.

No President ever describes their exit plan.

Warren Buffett: Scrap Obamacare and Start Over

The Weekly Standard – By JEFFREY H. ANDERSON

You know things are bad for President Obama when even Warren Buffett has soured on Obamacare and says that “we need something else.” Money Morning writes:
Buffett and Obama

“Healthcare costs in the United States are like a tapeworm eating at our economic body.

“Those words come from famed investor Warren Buffett, who said he would scrap Obamacare and start all over.

Well, well, well...It seems the Weekly Standard got caught red-handed bein' intellectually dishonest with their quotes. This one was quite a whopper.

Warren Buffet DID say those words....BACK IN 2010.

He was NOT referring to Obamacare, he was referring to the old way of doing things PRIOR to Obamacare.

No President ever describes their exit plan.

They also don't tell you expected casualties on either side. That's hardly the point. Bush didn't tell us the exact results of No Child Left behind. The point is that you always have to pass a measure to see what's in it. No plan survives the Battlefield.

US families make less than they did in 1989

America's middle class has seen its median income drop by $600 since 'The Simpsons' first went on the air.

Yep. We lost unions and American wages went down because we didn't have the power to bargain with our employers any longer. It's not complicated. This was the obvious outcome of our actions and this is what America wants. We shouldn't bitch about it.

What union did you lose? Mine is still going.

So the question remains, does Buffet support Obamacare?

Buffett: Scrap Obamacare and Start All Over
By Money Morning Staff Reports
Updated 5:48pm EDT 9/17/2013
When asked, "Are you in favor of scrapping [Obamacare] and going back to start over?", famed investor Warren Buffett said on CNBC March 1, 2010, "I would be — if I were President Obama.”

Buffett insisted that without changes to America's health system average citizens will suffer.

"We have a health system that, in terms of costs, is really out of control," he added. "And if you take this line and you project what has been happening into the future, we will get less and less competitive. So we need something else."

Rest here:

OH, and who cares what Buffet thinks in the first place? The point is a majority of Americans don't want it.

The big "tell" here is that [Obamacare] is in brackets.
Take a look at the official transcript of CNBC HERE

Do a find on "scrapping". Look at the previous paragraph.

Buffett is NOT talking about Obamacare.

He's talking about the existing pre-Obamacare medical system.
