And this exemplifies my point.

Tell me the basis for defamation of me.

Sean, by the way, knows who I am.

That means in my state, I now have a cause of action against you for defamation per se.

Shall I start pestering Laurel for your identity?

Ooh, do I get a free flight out for the depositions?

You have 600 union dock workers in California on strike that's costing the country a billion dollars a day in lost commerce and threatening the jobs of two million workers that depend on shipping through this port.

hey, those union workers are entitled to 120k a year, free pension, free healthcare, free college, and God Damit a free car from GM

screw the country, power to the onion...I mean union

As someone who has concluded more than his fair share of labour contracts in his working-lifetime, I'm sure you can appreciate the fact that the Port of Los Angeles had 2.5 years to work out an agreement.

So really, it's the Port of LA that's costing the country a billion dollars a day in lost commerce. They could have spend the last 2.5 years training new workers for this eventuality.

union's are not living in reality. their demands for the most part are nuts. 2ndly, union's would rather screw over the client as union's never think about the client or consumers.

the only thing a union does are these things. drive up costs and drive up the time to complete a project.

union leadership has champagne taste while on a beer budget, they are lost and no longer living in reality.

It's called self-interest.

Companies do it for their bottom line, unions do it for their member rolls. There's nothing new here.

What's surprising is that the Port has years to do something about it and didn't. New leadership is needed and in the meantime, they're left holding the bag. Bad management should not be rewarded. They should be fired.

KRUGMAN / NY TIMES: "In the ongoing battle of the budget, President Obama has done something very cruel. Declaring that this time he won’t negotiate with himself, he has refused to lay out a proposal reflecting what he thinks Republicans want. Instead, he has demanded that Republicans themselves say, explicitly, what they want. And guess what: They can’t or won’t do it. No, really. While there has been a lot of bluster from the G.O.P. about how we should reduce the deficit with spending cuts, not tax increases, no leading figures on the Republican side have been able or willing to specify what, exactly, they want to cut. And there’s a reason for this reticence. The fact is that Republican posturing on the deficit has always been a con game, a play on the innumeracy of voters and reporters. Now Mr. Obama has demanded that the G.O.P. put up or shut up — and the response is an aggrieved mumble."

Yes, well we all know that the obama is allergic to work, responsibility, accountability

But do not fear that obama is #1 in making excuses. for this, obama is the best excuse maker ever!

that and golf vacations

Jen, that is bs. We don't all know that "obama is allergic to work, responsibility, accountability". That's your opinion. I'm sure someone around here has the stats to back up that Obama has taken way less vacations than GWB and I don't recall his golfing that much.

House prices up 6%. Biggest annual increase in 6 years. Lowest inventory in two years.

Next year prices will be up another 10%

Damn. That was like, BusyShit quick with the immediate response.

Thought I read sometime in the last hour that Jen was supposed to have gone out to go the "gym." I guess it makes sense if by "gym" she meant walking to the corner 7-11 for a 2-liter of Fanta orange with a lit clove cigarette and toy dog by the leash.

that's great, enjoy the circle jerk with Sean. Why not include richard daily in the sausage fest.

in the end, you are a sick fuck
(not the part about being bi or gay, and I apologize to anyone that is straight, bisexual, or gay)

if you were not so morally bankrupt you would understand

go post some more pictures of 6 year old children on this porn web site
(ps, I am done with you due to your own mental illness)

You are defaming me even more.

Show me where I have I ever done that.

And explain how you took reasonable measures to prevent Lance from digging through your info.

I wouldn't care if he went golfing if it wasn't for this "cliff". I think its very irresponsible.

Secondly, I don't think its right to compare vacation time from one pres to another. Have to fact check this but thinking Clinton could have taken a ton of vacation time and it wouldn't have mattered as the economy was on cruise control. Sames goes for GWB first term, plus lets face it GWB wasn't the gifted Bush. Jeb would have been a far better POTUS

What does Obama not have time to get done if he golfs or takes a weekend or vacation?

He needs to make the rounds in Congress and kick their asses to get some work done. To do what ever it takes to get these fools working...maybe by starting off by splashing some water on Pelosi

Clearly Congress is broken. so as CEO of the country, he needs the attitude of "let's get ready to rumble" and get things moving.

and I know you don't think Obama is the CEO, but if where does the "buck" stop at then?

Summary, if we were not at this manufactured "cliff" then I would prefer obama would spend 53 weeks out of the year golfing (as golf would be a better use of tax dollars)

So which Republican congressman would listen to Obama and change his tune? Name one. Just one.

Huh.

I always thought the legislative branch was equal to the executive branch.

Who knew that the President could walk the Congress' halls and order legislators around?

that is the role of the leader to make things happen.

if my sales people come back with "we didn't make sales goals because customers didn't want to buy...."

well if I didn't fire the sales person...then the CEO would fire me.

we need this type of mentality in government, a can do attitude and one that gets things done.

jobs are not forever and some times a good round of chopping head count gets people working

Which Republican congressman accepts Obama as their leader on fiscal matters?

Which Republican congressman accepts Obama as their leader on fiscal matters?

I voted for him and I won't accept such a thing.

Obama needs to be collaborative in this process. He's shown no understanding of fiscal matters to take a point-man role in this.

From him? Nothing. He's not the author of his plan to avert the fiscal cliff.

Of Geitner et al, a more comprehensive plan that ties the repatriation of profits held outside the U.S. with reduced taxes on dividend income (or no tax if funneled by the individual into the housing market so as to further buttress the recovery in that market), options on addressing the impending student loan debacle and a more specific plan on revamping Security and Medicare/Medicaid that is tied to new participants contributing a greater percentage to their eventual earn-outs.

For starters.

ps - to be clear, I do like some of the components of the plan, but that's a far, far cry from "accepting Obama's leadership role on the subject." He has no standing and should not be dictating terms.

Not sure how Obama has no standing when everything depends on him. Nobody should be dictating terms but he should definitely be involved in order to help broker an agreement that he will actually consider signing.

I don't fault Obama for not inserting social security into the discussion. There's simply no need and it has the potential to break down the whole thing. Medicare is much more if an immediate issue and a larger part of the budget equation but not SS...
