My friend Drake. I've been in a funk lately, and he's currently in Iraq. He's the friend I can't hide things from no matter how hard I try. So, I just get this knock on my front door and there's this giant flower arrangement being delievered. Somehow, in the midst of a war zone, he managed to order me flowers.

Hearing my son talk about swimming with "pop-pop" (his name for my father). He's visiting the grandparents as part of his summer vacation and calls every day to tell me about his adventures.

Simple pleasures.
-A hot cup of coffee on a cold morning.
-A pretty sunset or sunrise
-Being able to see the stars
-Hugging my kiddo
-the smell of freshly mowed sweet grass

I think they feed my soul because they are simple. In a word where nothing seems to be easy and problems are complicated, it's nice to be able to reflect on the things that just are.

i guess if i want highspeed i have to get comcast for $40/month when they finish running wires.

If it is any consolation, I pay $35/month for clearwire wireless. I don't know that there are any high speed/dsl/wireless/non dial-up connections that are any less expensive. For me, it is worth it. Ever try to publish websites with a ton of graphics/songs/ect. on dial-up?


WFMS...my dogs. They love me unconditionally. They even love me without make-up and with "I just woke up hair." Then again, maybe they just love me because I feed them and keep them in leather collars with bling?


What really feeds my soul are my friends. I'm very blessed to have such a wonderful group of people that I can count on.

As of late ...

Actually getting a day off is a great way to feed my soul. Other than that, to relax and actually write something I feel is good would be wonderful.

Gimmie a shot and stand back ... watch and be amazed at what happens when this gurl is on the tequila turnpike ...
