You might remember seeing these political bizarros handing out pro-nuclear-power pamphlets in airports. They have this really weird ideology that purports to be based on the philosophy of Plato and blames all evil in history on the followers of Aristotle, who supposedly represent agrarianism and aristocracy. Back in the 1980s they were all for the Reagan Administration's SDI/"Star Wars" program and actually seemed to take credit for thinking of it first -- they're extremely technophile. Also there's something about the British royal family running the international drug trade. (But at least they're not Lizard People.)

Their founder, Lyndon LaRouche, died in 2019. Which leaves me wondering, does his movement/cult still exist, in any form?

Can’t say I met any of those but I used to get ambushed by the Hare Krishnas at the airports. Hippies in orange robes…like a perpetual Toga Party.

Apparently they're schisming.

On February 24, 2021, Zepp-LaRouche denounced the LaRouche Political Action Committee (LPAC) and its treasurer, Barbara Boyd, for going "in a direction which I consider contrary to the central policies that my husband stood for. ... ince he passed away in February 2019, Mrs. Boyd and her associates ... have embarked on a path that I believe misrepresents both my and Mr. LaRouche's positions." and has stated that LPAC and Boyd do not represent the LaRouche movement. She has taken legal action against LPAC to "immediately cease and desist, both now and in the future" from "using Mr. LaRouche's name, likeness, and potentially other confusingly similar terms."[11]
