The most favorite pet of all time is definitely the dog. Having a pet dog suggests that you are a friendly person who likes talking to people. You are outspoken and don't have any secrets or bias opinions. People like to be around you because you are sincere and loving. You don't like to say anything to hurt other people's feelings.

Pretty much right on the money. I don't attack unless I'm being attacked..

TURTLE

You revel in isolation. You follow a simple lifestyle, and are gentle and hard working. You don't care much about what others have to say. Sometimes their comments hurt your feelings but you just ignore them and get on with your life.

I have a dog and two red-eared sliders (water turtles for your non-turtle people). I would say I'm in the middle of those two descriptions, depending on my mood. Lately I've been in the turtle type mood lately!

I have two egyptian tortoises - captive-bred by some crazy tortoise dude. They're TEENY. They're barely a year old, and won't reach adulthood till they're 10 years old. They're named Harold & Maude:

I feed them canned food mostly, and they beg to be fed everytime I go past their tank! Mine are named Devil and Angel (Devil has a red strip and Angel has a yellow one) they are cuties, I adopted them from my 5 year old niece who decided she couldn't handle them. I would post a pic, but I don't have any!

That's so cool! It's funny, because parents always give kids turtles and torts, and they're the last pets kids should have! They need a lot of care, and they don't do well when handled like kids handle things. I had a box turtle when I was growing up and I got bored with it so quickly. They're amazing creatures, but they aren't really good kid pets.

I love just to watch my turtles. My niece still visits them when she's at my house. Your are right though, they are not kid-friendly pets. I never had one as a kid, but I wanted one. Now that I know how much work they are I'm glad I waited!
