Wellll..that all depends on your version of unattractive. I've dated a couple women who were most definitely overweight. But I really dug them and thought they were attractive, and downright sexy. What made them so, more than how they looked, was what they were. They made me laugh, or were great conversationalists, or had a good head on their shoulders - usually a combination of the three plus some. That just made them a whole hell of a lot more attractive to me, by a large margin.

I've seen lots of pretty women, and they're nice to look at, and they'd probably be okay in bed, but they just annoyed the hell out of me and nosexual prowess is worth the grating on the nerves they would cause me.

Okay, I missed that the first time around...

I've only ever had two real girlfriends, and the first one most people would term "fat and unattractive" Her personality was exactly what attracted me to her. My reality is completely subjective. If a girl is stupid, or a bitch, or irritating, she looks ugly to me. If she's smart, and funny, and has a sexy personality, she's absolutely hot as far as I'm concerned.
