I disagree, at least a bit. You CAN adjust your style to attract what you want to attract. Clothing, degree of fitness, hairstyle, etc. And you can make the effort to hang out where the kind of prospective partners you want hang out.

But to do those things, you have to have some notion of what you want beyond just "hot". You have to notice the subgroups into which people sort themselves, and listen to your own heart enough to know what type appeals to you. At the moment, Matthew Craig does not seem to be engaging in much study to narrow down his choices.

There's plenty of information available. For example, the "how to get the ______ look for under $100" type of TV show is essentially about what he needs to know. How to look like the preferred prey of his desired predator, enough to provoke her into an instinctive stalk and strike before she has time to notice that he's really in disguise.

To attract, yes; to keep, no. You can try to change yourself to KEEP a partner, but why bother? What's the point of putting on a front? Be who you are and the right person will like you just fine for that.

Actual women in this day and age are often waiting into their 30s to get married and start families. Besides, at 30 you can still expect to date women in their 20s. It's not a holy line of demarcation or anything.
