Sing when you're all alone?

The tune, the lyrics that make you put on your best solitary performance!:D

Like The Way I Do, by Melissa Etheridge is my choice. There is sooo much feeling dripping from this song it totally makes me sing it.

red rum, red rum

No. . . not really.

Usually, it's a Pat Benatar song: All Fired Up.

"I believe there comes a time, when everything just falls in line.
We live and learn from our mistakes, the deepest cuts are healed by fate"

hmmmmm

i posted twice...sorry!

anything that isnt too hard on the vocal chords! LOL

usually winds up being a country or bluegrass song, but there are a few alternative songs like 3 doors down (kryptonite)
or puddle of mud (control) or anything that doesnt require air guitar movements.sometimes i have done muppet songs.
it is just whatever pops into my head. could be uriah heep, deep purple, chicago...whatever by whoever.

"it dont matter if its not good enough for anyone else but you, just sing, sing a song"
:D

When I am singing aimlessly, it is usually old standard show tunes.

Send In the Clowns
Somewhere
What I did for Love
Stuff from the Sound of Music

Pretty boring!

But, then, when I play my guitar or piano, it is everything from Elton John to country to Guns N Roses.

OH and the Beatles and some folk stuff from the 60's.

Who wants to do a duet? ;)

I usually sing whatever the last song I heard was. But I hate it when I have a song stuck in my head but I can only remember a line or two so I just keep singing those lines over and over...maybe it's just me.:D

Going for the long black wig !!!!!!

You'll constantly see me singing anything by the Village People.

Don't ask me why. :p

My dad and brother came into the house one day when I was singing "Angels We Have Heard On High" at the top of my lungs, right as I was getting to the GLOOORRR-OOOOORRRR-OOOORRRIA! part. It wasn't even Christmastime, but that day, for some ungodly reason, I was singing Christmas songs:D

My theme song has to be 'Gimmie Some Lovin' I sing that whenever something good happens..

But normally I'll putz around 'practicing' current pieces I'm playing in symph. band ... so I'll be "Dun da daaaaa dudadudaduda Dat!" (any band geek should understand ... every instrument has differnt 'words' you use to tongue..) in the kitchen... playing my bassoon parts w/o the bassoon

Guilty of making my own words up.

In Fact I've been doing it all day today ... Must be Happy :)

Guilty of singing these songs at the top of my off-key lungs:

Jimmy Buffet's "Come Monday" and "Son of a son of a Sailor"
Dido's "Thank You"
Sarah McLaughlin's "Fear"
Tori Amos's "Spark"
Drowning Pool's "Let the Bodies hit the floor"

 :D  :D

At the moment a song called "Bounce" by System Of A down , about a "pogo stick" :D:D:D

" Jump , Bounce , Down , Up
I went out on a date ,
With a girl ,, A bit late ,
She had so many friends ,
Glidin' through many hand's ,
I brought my pogo stick ,
Just to show her a trick ,
she had so many friend's ,
Glidin' through many hand's ,

Jump Pogo...Bounce Pogo ,
Down Pogo , Up Pogo ,

Unannounced twister game's ,
All played with no name's ,
They lined up double quick ,
But just one pogo stick ,
Everyone get's to play '
Runaway , Expose ,
It was so exotic ,
But just one pogo stick ,

Jump Pogo...Bounce Pogo ,
Down Pogo , Up Pogo ,

Oh , I like to spread you out ,
Touching whoever's behind ,

Jump Pogo...Bounce Pogo
Down Pogo , Up Pogo

The Blues Brothers' version of that song is just excellent. :)

For me, though, I've been guilty of singing "Man I Feel Like A Woman" at the top of my lungs while cleaning house (don't ask why..I just dig the song). Alone, I prefer old jazz tunes ("Makin' Whoopie", "Fly Me to the Moon"), and anything else that hits my baritone/bass singing range. I do like blues, but I usually sing along to the CD player for that.

Oh, and celia...I was getting to like you until I heard you were a "farting bedpost" virtuoso. :p But I do know all about singing like your instrument. I play clarinet, bari sax, and bass guitar, and each of them get differnet kind of words from me when I'm singing instrumental stuff. :)

That stupid fucking Celebrex commercial hasn't left my brain for the past year.

I think the time I was most disturbed was within the last year when I broke out humming Skip to my Lou. God only knows what brought that on.

God, me too! My daughter sings that stupid thing in the car every morning... she wants desperately for me to take Celebrex because the people on the commercial lok so happy. How sick is that?

If there's not music on, I usually make up songs... or sing xmas carols... though toby keith has been popping out of my mouth a lot lately

mood swings

when i feel lost, my anthem is "Woodstock" the electric version CSNY do.

When I feel sexy, i think it's a T-Rex tune ..."hub cap- diamond star halo. ya dirty sweet, you're my girl" the guitar is unstoppable

I love to sing, and I always sing in hte shower- it might be anything from "hallelujah" and other songs from when I was in Chambers Singers to "Ghost", "You were Meant For Me", stuff from Sublime, to showtunes...
