My voice is like really, incredibly girly. Like close to a 9 year olds voice, but not squeaky or to high pitched. So, my question is, do you guys like that? Or girls? Either can answer. I'm just curious because the people I work with are always joking ((playfully)), about it.

I'd really like some peoples opinions.

I think that I would love it.....

Can be really sexy if the words are ones that a nine year old would never use! ;)

I'd like to hear an audio file to be sure but I have a feeling that you are 157% sexy, including your voice.

Just saying.

sometimes it can be good, however someties, it can get .......how can i put this.....sometimes it can get a little...hard work.
now i sound like an arse....there can be a time and a place, and sometimes in the right mood, it can be horn inducing as anything.

I would hope no one would have a problem with your voice especially when you are so pretty.

How the hell would we know without hearing it?

Next time post a picture of lasagna and ask us all how it tastes.

A women's point of view..

You may not appreciate my opinion but you did ask for them.
Frankly high pitched voices in women make me want to punch them..and I am not a violent person. I find them intellectually demeaning, insulting, and a pathetic cry for attention.
You can change the tone of your voice it just takes work and most people don't like to put forth effort.
I am quite sure most women would agree with me on this.

HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY

As long as we're being honest, I'm going to say that I find high-pitched voices on women to be very sexy, and far more appropriately feminine than not. Nothing spoils the "whole package" for me than a beautiful woman with a deeper voice. It's also yet another of the horrible things about smoking, and why I tend to write off a woman's appeal when I see her smoking, whether I have heard her voice or not. All I hear in my head is Marge's sisters from The Simpsons.

But a high-pitched voice, yes that is a very nice thing in my book, and usually succeeds in bringing a smile to my face. Definitely not punch-worthy or demeaning, especially if that's their natural tone. How horrible would it be for someone to have to constantly be conscious of the pitch of their voice, and try to always sound like someone they are not, just because some people find it annoying? :(

If you talk and act like a 9 year old than its annoying; however, you act and talk like an adult then it is so hot. It get me going right away.

SoundCloud is free and easy-to-use place to record and post an audio clip. then you can link it back to this thread, or elsewhere.

They also have an App for iPhone and Android which makes recording and uploading even easier.

sounds sexy to me

echoing other comments. if you speak appropriately and your tone is pleasant (i.e. not whiny or "ditzy" sounding) then a cute/girly voice is great. i'd love to hear it some day!

:)

I'm like you. I wouldn't call mine high-pitched, but it's definitely been called girly sounding. Everytime I talk to someone new on the phone, they doubt my real age (39). I've been told I sound like I'm 12. But I've had several men tell me how sexy I sound, so I wouldn't worry if I were you. If you have a voice like mine, it very likely turns men on....and that's always a good thing.

I'm surprised at the number of persons who have said that they like this because all of the studies conducted by social psychologists say that women with girly voices do less well professionally and socially. I suppose that we're speaking about the non-random sample of men here liking you sexually, so what I'm saying may still hold true for you, but it may be worth your while to try to do something about this for te sake of your job. I don't know where you are, but surely you can get voice training somewhere if you're in the West.

I agree w/ everything said, except punching someone. I find myself less trusting of women who sound like children. Frankly I can't imagine any guy getting off to a woman who sounds child like unless the guy is a pedophile.

In day-to-day conversation? I think I'd find ... well, let's see. Of the people I know with girly (that is, higher-pitched) voices ... I take them less seriously, certainly. But I don't dislike their words or anything.

On the other hand, in a sexual way? It's ... actually pretty hot. It's the juxtaposition, I guess: "young" means "less experienced", and if a woman can demonstrate that she really is the opposite of "less experienced" while pretending to be, then yeah, it's hot.
