The things I love most about my city is the downtown area. It is clean and well lit and safe even at night. The people are friendly too. I had a flat tire once and six guys stopped to help me including two twelve year old kids. The older guys taught the younger ones how to change a tire. It really touched me to see those twenty year old guys teaching these street kids zen and the art of tire changing.
The river runs through the middle of the city and the walkway along it is beautiful. There are trees everywhere and flowers blooming on every corner.
There's just too much to love about NYC- but I guess right now I would say that what I love most is the tenacity of its people and all of the people here who have helped out in the face of tragedy and crisis.
I live in Hawkes Bay in New Zealand. We are surrounded by orchards and wineries. It is lovely and sunny here. The people are fantastic and very friendly.
