I am reading a book that is trying to get us to redefine what we call sex. So that got me thinking. What do you consider sex? When you say you had sex with someone what do you mean?

I do consider anal sex as having actual sex because in my opinion, it's just as intimate as intercourse... even though I would never get THAT intimate with a man. As for others you mentioned, nope, not so much.

That’s a good question.

I think it varies depending on context. It could mean intercourse but it could also mean touching genitalia or each person touching their own.

Perhaps it has more to do with a level of sexual arousal and not necessarily the acts themselves.

You can have sex in your mind with someone not even there and you’re engaging is sexual acts.

Where as a platonic massage could be outside of the sexual space while another massage done in the exact same way could be very sexual depending on the mind.

The question and answer mean very different things depending on the context and where people went in their minds and intentions.
