Old guy should not have defied the cops. Cops in these ops are required to advance in close formation pushing the crowd ahead of them.

Old guy falls cracked his head.

More senior cop takes charge and calls medics.

Putting cops on unpaid leave was an over - reaction - charging them was stupid.

The 57 resigned the special group because their Union advised them they were exposing themselves to prosecutions.

Police chief was right to commend his men.

Sure police are all too frequently brutal, but not this time. Those two cops have no case to answer and will not suffer any penalty - nor should they.

You HAVE to think that older people can be more unstable on their feet.
So they deserve some repercussions.

The law was a new departure at Nuremberg. Up to then, and if Germany had won the war, it would have been a valid defence.

Not following orders could have meant trial for mutiny and execution in the German forces. But those tried at Nuremberg were those who issued the orders - not the grunts who carried them out.
