I didn't see a thread about this, but I have been watching more television than I should for almost two and half months, and some of the commercials are really annoying. I especially don't like the Liberty Mutual LiMu Emu commercials, and now the Sonic commercials. TJ and Peter could be annoying, but now the Taylor Red Sonic commercials are just excruciating!
And the "Growing Up Hip Hop" commercials just make me roll my eyes.

I hate to be negative, but considering so many have lost their jobs, and many are facing future job loss (I took a pay cut, and am potentially looking at my own job loss), the whole positive "we are in this together", "it's okay to not be okay" genre is really annoying me.

So, I'll just follow my own advice, and stop watching so much television, and start reading more!!

I'm pretty much done with network tv thanks to the efforts of Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake. :)

I don't think I've seen more than a handful of commersials outside of things like Youtube video prerolls in the last six or seven years.

Firefox has an app for that. :)

Doesn't help with the "This video is brought to you by Dollar Shave Club" gubbins. But I can't complain too much, I literally work in ad financed online media.

Seeing one reminds me to update my ad blockers and sometimes I block a site.

Microsoft Teams - every commercial break, without fail. EVERY SINGLE TIME!

ok, We get it, people are using your program, but we don't need to be bombarded with the message every 4 minutes! :(

Descovy for Prep. It doesn't do the queer community much good. Trannies and promiscuity.

Every commercial that tells us how bad it is, how much they're doing, and how we're "All in this together."

I've learned to mostly tune them out so nothing really bothers me too much. Sometimes I'll see an ad for something that's actually interesting and I'll look into it.
I found some decent earbuds that way.

1. Royal London Insurance
2. Current UK tv Dacia ads with this voice over
3. Any coronavirus corporate 'we're ordinary people just like you/we're looking out for you' eg Morrison's featuring cherry-picked regional accents and Natwest look - our staff at home but there are numerous other ones with 'our staff are just like you with cats and kids and naff furniture we bought from crap sofa-world so don't top yourself yet, because we won the last war and now we have Brexit to look forward to'

On the other hand, this one is brilliant and makes me laugh every time

PS sorry if these don't work outside the UK

I also hate them all and I agree liberty mutual has one of the worst, but the Motaur ones (I am not even sure I know what company airs them) are the worst for me. On the positive side Farmers Insurance has some very good ads. If I were still in business for myself I would try to emulate these.

Any of these corporations with their “look how much we care” bullshit.

Those little phony we are all in this together COVID-19 pandering ads are annoying but here are the ones I really hate:

The Raisin Bran commercial where the father tells his daughter to make good choices and she snottily replies, "YOU make food choices." Brat, you should be happy your daddy is looking out for you.

All of those Kraft Cheese commercials where the parents look so pathetic and the kids clearly rule the house. Don't want to eat what I cooked? Well, then, your ass goes to bed with no dinner. Can't you tell I can't stand spoiled kids on TV? What happened to commercials where kids were cute and sweet? Snotty kids don't make me want to purchase a product. It has the opposite effect!

They done brought back that State Farm commercial with the annoying wife.

They have to go out of their way to be obnoxious and make some silly statement that has nothing to do with the products they are marketing.

I do like that Hershey's commerical with the old man giving away Hershey's bars, that made me go out to buy a Hershey's bar.

The stupid little gecko making a blooper real - makes me want to avoid Geico Insurance even more. What an insult on our intelligence....

LeeMoo Eeemoo.

Any of those really disgusting ones about absorbant pee gel, incontenence, or other disturbing medical issues relating to pee and poo, that make me scramble like mad for the mute button.

Xelganz, O'Tezla of Primalast, SkyRizzy, Paddaday, and other random pills that make you larger or make you small (unlike the ones that mother gives you, that dont do anything at all.)

That talking lizard guy always blabbing about "Consuance."

Challenger School ("Where fun and achievement are a student's motivation!") Like I'd ever send my kids there.

Hercules!
I
Have
Been
Expecting
you.
-I've brought you a gift so you can fight properly.
-How
Very
nice
of you
but also
rather
stupid.
Mine
Mine
Mine!
Mine!
-No MINE! Red Bull gives you wings!

All of them, but especially the concerned voice of the guy that just wants to help you safely get a new car or a mortgage during these "trying times"

Every commercial that tells us how bad it is, how much they're doing, and how we're "All in this together."

Technically true. You can't have mass hysteria without involving all of the masses.

All of the Corona Virus lock down virtue signalling.

Amen.

We we all get through these commercials together.

Ahhhh, THANK YOU, stickygirl. Loved the one that makes you laugh -- thanks for sharing it. Very good. That's what a commercial should be.

The commercials I hate, hate, hate haven't even started yet, but they'll be here very soon and that's when I'll be done, done, done with TV.
